Dr Smith had treated me in BMC for MRSA. From hip replacement surgery. Sent me to Care Haven to finish treatment. After 4 days I walked out. It was by far the worst place I had ever been. On my way home I got a call from her office to go to the emergency room and have my picc removed. Instead I went WMC in Winchester, Va emergency department and was admitted. i had been receiving daily intravenous antibiotics. I didn’t miss any. WMC continued my treatments. 45 days that time. Had big infection 4 months later and 21 more treatments. WMC admitted me for 7 more days. She had said maybe I could go home and receive out outpatient daily treatments. In stead Dr. Smith sent me to Care Haven in Shepherdstown, WV. (Hell on earth.) My wife would call her office and get hung up on. When I was at my lowest Dr Smith treated me worse me more like an animal than a human. I will never forgive her. Dr Smith is evil reincarnated.

horrible communication from office staff
My husband was discharged from WVU Medicine in Martinsburg with an appt. to revisit doctor on Feb 21 to be reevaluated. We received a message from office staff on Tuesday, Feb 14 that we had an appt. with her on Feb 16, we were both busy that day. We were informed that time was not negotiable and if we did not keep it it would be considered a missed appt. We contacted 2 other persons in her office and we were only given the same message....appear when summoned or this is a missed appt. We missed the appt and doc would not see us. Through these several conversations the staff was rude and surly.

Really? Eight minutes late?
It was raining out, I missed my exit. No worries, I called to say that I was going to be about ten minutes late. I got off the phone at 9:04 and arrived at 9:08 only to be told that the good doctor had cancelled the appointment that was at 9:00. So your time is that precious? Lady, you would have had me waiting, no doubt, longer than that in the waiting room.

Dr. Connie Smith treated me poorly during my visit. She wasn't friendly at all and looked as if she was in a bad mood. I chose to go to another doctor because of that. The appointment felt rushed as well. I would not recommend!

I was treated for the second time in my life by Dr Smith. She was wonderful to me. She doesn’t believe in treating everyone who assumes they have lyme and I respect that. She believed in me and I’m glad she did. She gave me my life back.

The doctor and staff are rude and dismissive. They show little empathy for challenging circumstances and makes the patient and family feel unworthy. She did not return calls and relayed important information through third parties and not in a professional manner.

My experience was a NIGHTMARE! She sent me to the ER and her office told me the ER would call her. The ER was livid she sent me there, said she sends people there all the time knowing ER cant help. She never came in to see me, nor did she even call the ER back. Apparently she does not answer the phonecalls from the ER. I was in the ER for hours only to get pain meds. I was livid she did this to me and to find out she does this all the time, to others, even after the ER has told her to stop??

My husband has been in the hospital since 12/5/2016 when he broke both his femurs in an accident. His return home was hinged on an appt with Dr. Smith on 1/24/17. As you can imagine he was anticipating this appt for many days as it could be his last hurdle to go home after nearly 2 months. He was taken in his wheelchair the 2 blocks from the Rehab Center & arrived at his appt time only to be told that "someone" had called an cancelled his appointment and that the Dr wasn't in. Mystery caller?

Diabetic with open ulcer on foot that would not heal. Original podiatrist's treatment wasn't working so switch doctors and through the new doctor came in contact with Dr. Connie Smith. I knew after the first visit if the foot could be saved it would be her as she explained everything, she fought with Medicaid to give me the correct antibiotic even though it was not on Medicaids list for patients. Visits every week and when in the hospital she would come see me and check ulcer. Excellent
