Dr. Collins Ezeuka, MD

I tried to like this doctor, after he stated he wanted to see 'the whole picture'. He changed my medications even though I've had multiple doctors back up the ones I was on, consistently talked down to me for 6 months, ALWAYS ran late to every appointment I ever had, and I was always rushed after sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes. Please see someone else, his bedside manner is terrible.

I really wanted to like this man after my first visit. But not so. My experience is much like the other reviews. He ran three hours late to my follow up appointment and I was talked down to and disrespected. My medication was changed completely without any education or briefing on the matter and when I asked for an explanation I was treated like a child being sent to the principals office by him and his office manager. Beyond that, this is the only doctor I’ve met who always takes an ultrasound of your feet and legs. Odd. Please see someone else.

from the current reviews, it looks like I’m not the only one. Extremely inattentive, asked the same basic questions at a very rushed pace. He evenly completely forgot to do an ultra sound on a very extreme matter because he was so rushed. Noticed my insurance company was getting charges for tests, assessments, and “counseling” when none of this was actually done, and this doctor knows that. Worst doctor I’ve ever been to, if you see this review take this as a warning to find a different doctor.

Dr Ezeuka walked into our room, professional yet quite warm. It was a first appointment for my husband and Dr Ezeuka was very thorough, explaining his thoughts and treatment plan. The staff, especially the Office Manager, was knowledgeable, patient and helpful as was the front desk staff.I hope that this will be a consistent experience.

I was searching for a doctor for my nephew after his previous doctor dropped off the insurance plan that he had. After going through all the drama with other doctors, I decided to do a different kind of search in the Sarasota, Fl area by searching by age instead of speciality; Dr. Ezeuka came into our lives when my nephew needed someone that could help help with his health issues and not put him down as young black man. Dr. Ezeuka is definitely the answer to our prayers. He made my nephew feel like a man instead of a thug like the doctors from his past did. I write this review from the heart hoping and knowing that Dr. Ezeuka is here for a long time. Rarely do black doctors from the west coast to the east coast to practice medicine. California come to practice medicine.

Dr. Ezeuka approaches patients differently. He is not a box checker, nor is he driven by practice throughout. Rather, he sees each patient as an opportunity to discover the problem (or problems) view it/them from different perspectives, and formulate a way forward with the patient that is approachable, understandable and embraceable. I found him motivated to treat the cause, not the symptom. I also found him to be highly skilled at communicating, straightforward in his methodology, and a catalyst of patient confidence.
