Dr. Colin Zdenek, DPM

Dr. Zdeneck performed ankle replacement surgery for me in October. He took the utmost care to inform my wife and I both, of what to expect and how long recovery would take. He visited me every day in the hospital to monitor the healing process and made sure I had the care and therapy I needed when I was discharged. Healing went very well and results of the surgery are excellent! I am free of pain in that ankle, which was bone on bone status and have very good movement! I would highly recommend Dr. Zdeneck to anyone considering ankle replacement, which we didn't even know was a real possibility before! He is outstanding!

I have been seeing podiatrists since I was very young. With Dr. Zdenek I finally felt like I was making progress. - and now the lucky people in the Black Hills of South Dakota will be benefiting from his expertise. Dr. Zdenek- I wish you the very best, but will miss your care.

He explain my surgery clearly and what to expect after surgery. Including it may take a year to fully heal. He took the time to help make it through the tough times of recovery. His staff is respectful and I was able to get in to see him if needed in a reasonable time.

I liked how friendly and nice Dr. Zdneck was, he explained everything that was going to happen to me and my wife. He made sure there were no questions left unanswered.

Dr. Zdenek was wonderful! I had hammertoes and bunion surgery with another doctor but it was not successful. I put it off to have it redone and sought the recommendation from others for the right doctor. Dr. Zdenek was recommended to me. I could not be happier. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I felt confident that I was in good hands. He is very helpful and pleasant to work with. He corrected my hammertoes and put a plate in for my bunion. I now have no pain and the rt foot looks like my left. Toes no longer crossing over and no more pain. I can now wear shoes I haven't been able to wear for a long time. I highly recommend Dr. Zdenek for any foot problems!!

I had ankle replacement in June 2022. It was the best choice. My pain is gone and I'm able to do more things without pain. Dr. Zdenek explained my surgery and recovery in ways I could clearly understand. I am very thankful for him and his team!! I would highly recommend them!!

I PREVIOUSLY HAD SURGARY IN 2012 FOR TOE PROBLEMS BY ANOTHER DOCTOR. IT WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL! I VISITED DR ZDENEK IN 2021 BECAUSE MY SECOND TOE FLIPPED OVER MY BIG TOE AND IT WAS GETTING VERY PAINFUL TO WEAR SHOES. HE DID CORRECTIVE SURGERY AND IT TURNED OUT FANTASTIC! NO MORE PAIN AND I CAN WEAR SHOES WITHOUT DISCOMFORT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

I was referred to Dr. Zdenek due to persistent pain and numbness in my foot that had been going on over a year following several breaks in my ankle. Dr. Zdenek is the podiatric surgeon that other surgeons would most likely choose to go to as a patient. He is exceptionally kind with a calming smile, intelligent, thorough, and clearly on top of his game. I appreciated the fact that he treated me as if I was his only patient, and made sure that all my questions were answered.

While here at our cabin I was nursing a bilateral achilles heel tendonitis. Suddenly one day I was unable to bear weight on my right foot. My husband found Dr. Zdenek’s name and we were fortunate to secure an appointment that day. His approach, professionalism and all around care was like none other. I'm very pleased with the care I've received from Dr. Zdenek. He is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. I highly recommend him.

I broke my right ankle so severely that I was concerned that I would never fully recover from it. Dr. Zdenek operated and installed a metal plate with 9 screws to reattach the bones. The recovery was much quicker than expected, and I'm looking at a full recovery with no loss of motion or pain. He was very patient and explained very clearly each step in his rehabilitation process during our postoperative follow-up appointments.

Dr. Zdenek is a complete doctor and a complete human being. I got an appointment within a day, and did not have to wait when I arrived. I met Dr Zdenek 3.5 days after an injury, happened during my trip, in ER with (not yet been treated) dislocated-right-ankle & 3-broken-bones. Now, after 3 surgery, I'm able to walk and drive; He is a superb surgeon. Besides, his manner is so thorough, gentle & patient. He shown me detailed procedure scheme before operation.
