Dr. Clifton Daniels III, MD

Dr. Daniels spent a great deal of time (twice) talking with me on the phone about best anesthesia options for an upcoming procedure to remove hardware from my foot. On the day of surgery, he asked me questions about my experience at the first surgery, and listened carefully to what I told him. I am confident the best decision on what anesthesia to use was made, and I have felt very good after surgery. I don't expect to have the bothersome issues I had with a nerve block the first time. In the surgical world , hardware removal is a very minor procedure for the anesthesiologist and surgeon. Dr. Daniels treated me as though my care was the most important thing he had to do, and was very patient with my many questions and internal debate about nerve block versus IV versus both. He understood my concerns, goal, and did not try to overrule me as the expert--even though he is the expert.I very likely overthought the entire thing, but Dr. Daniels could not have been more patient or engaging.
