Truly exceptional among medical specialists
Dr. Deal has received so many '5-star' ratings that adding one more shouldn't change the reader's mind if he is not already convinced to obtain an appointment. But if the reader is still not certain that he has made the right decision on that appointment day, Dr. Deal's smile and friendly exchange will do the job. Dr. Deal is a specialist who WILL answer your questions and treat you with respect at the same time. He is a specialist who has convinced me that he very likely knows the best medical treatment for those whom he accepts as patients, and while he explains how he will treat you (almost sounds like a request for approval, maybe) he's looking at you rather than at his assistant as he thinks about his next appointment. OK, he's not a god, so meet his with a lot of questions.

Dr Deal has a very direct communication style. He used a minimum of technical/medical jargon which I appreciated. His explanations of the the pros and cons of the procedure were very clear. He welcomed my questions and concerns so I felt very comfortable scheduling the procedure. Office and nursing personnel are friendly yet very professional.

Throughout the entire process of pre-surgery and post, I have felt that Dr. Deal has been guiding me through the process of having a lumpectomy. He has been extremely patient, when I have asked questions , explained how my incision will look in a few months and what to do going forward. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Dr. Deal to family or friends. He came very highly recommended to me from a very close friend. Dr. Deal performed surgery on her, due to breast Cancer.

To me Dr. Deal is a rare combination of a skilled surgeon and a real person. So many specialists only see a leg, breast or knee walk into the office; he understands that body part comes wrapped in a package of a real person with a name.

Dr. Deal performed my emergency surgery. He was friendly and positive, and he clearly explained what he would be doing (pre-surgery) and what he did (post-surgery). He informed me before the surgery that he had performed the surgery I needed a high number of times, and that was comforting.

Dr. Deal performed my breast cancer surgery, and there is none better! He is competent, caring, and friendly. My scar is barely visible, and the follow-up has been quite thorough. You do not have to choose between surgical skills and bedside manner with Dr. Deal! He takes ample time to answer questions and address concerns. His nurse, Linda, and his nurse practitioner, Susan, and the office staff are also excellent! The newer location in the Sarah Cannon building is beautiful, and parking is convenient. Most highly recommended!
