I am really disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by Dr. Chan when she discovered I wanted my health records to seek a second opinion. I have every right to see as many doctors as I'd like to in order to get the best possible treatment. She was clearly offended and defensive at my last visit. She would not let me speak. A patient should be able to communicate respectfully with the physician.

Great doctor, knowledgeable and thorough on her history taking and work up. Do not get offended when I showed her literature search I got online to discuss my case with her. Instead she would look through what I gave her and explained to me what is correct and what is wrong of my online information and gave me education material about my condition and I thankful that she spent the time to educate me and make me feel very comfortable to continue care with her.

I saw another hematologist in the area for 3 years and no diagnosis was given for my low blood counts problem. From a friend's recommendation I went to Dr Chan and she did a couple more test and found out what is my problem, a rare blood disorder with a new treatment and I am now no longer require any blood transfusion. She explains the condition to me and my family clearly.

Have been Dr Chan's patient for years, she spends lots of time with her patients and is very knowledgeable to provide best up to date treatment by tailoring treatment for each patient to achieve the longest survival and best quality of life. When I come to her with any medical problem even unrelated to her field she could diagnose and refer me to the appropriate specialist. I would recommend her to everybody.
