Dr. Clara Chae, MD

Went in to get help from my new onset pain from endometriosis and hopefully a new surgery. She tried to convince me that taking a medication and birth control would help and I politely refused because they have not worked for me in the past , she got upset and said she would not perform a surgery and will not help me with any pain management or referrals to anyone that could help me. Whole time she is cutting me off , talking over me , not believing a word I'm saying and basically saying if I don't want to do what she says I just don't want help . Very rude , unprofessional, uncaring doctor . Avoid this lady at all costs and I hope no future employers hire such a terrible so called doctor .

Was very rude to me during the end of my pregnancy and made me feel bad about my weight and this started happening when she brought another person in who i believe is training to be an OB, after that my last few appointments i was very short worded because i didnt appreciate the way she treated me it wasnt what she said it was the way she said things. To add to that when i went on maternity leave her staff did a poor job of not letting me know from the beginning that they do not have electronic access to submit documents to EDD and there has been a huge delay in my disability due to this and staff hasnt been really helpful either.

I went to doctor Clara for prenatal care because I wanted a female OBGYN. In one of my appointments I mentioned I got a cysts and she said it needed to be drained. During the drainage she had some random guy, I later learned was a student, for the procedure and even suggested to him he move to better see my vagina! She never asked if it was ok for a student to be present or told me he was a student! Horrifying and humiliating experience I never went back!

I've had two appointments with her one for pap smear and one for colposcopy. I did not see reviews of her bed side manner until after my appointments, which I am glad because I probably would not have gone with her and that would have been a mistake. Both of my appointments with her were good. She listened to all my concerns and made sure during my colposcopy that there were no allergy ingredients of mine used in any of the things needed for my procedure. As I have many allergies. Also made me feel comfortable with everything. She doesn't bull**** you and I think maybe that's where people may take her wrong but it's definitely not bad bed side manor. I am having an upcoming hysterectomy with her so I can't give a review on surgical aspects of her yet .

I had the in-fortune to get surgery whit this woman. I had nothing but issues after! Just avoid her and anyone working whit her.

I love Dr. Chae, so friendly, giving you great explanation. Easy to talk and answer all the question very detail and easy to understand. Great doctor, recommended.

Dr. Clara Chae and the whole office staff is AMAZING! Andrea is always greeting us with a warm smile and always so happy to see us. Dr. Chae has always taken her time with us and answers all of our questions, even if they’re silly! This is our first child for my husband and I and I couldn’t ask for a better doctor and office. She will definitely be my OB going forward!

I love that Dr Chae gets to the point. She also takes the time when needed to comfort her patients. She has been nothing but kind, intelligent, and caring when dealing with my anxiety and questions. I’ve never felt so comfortable with a doctor before.

Very rude doctor , she tells you your obese straight forward and makes you feel very uncomfortable.

Man.. I should’ve looked at the reviews before going to her lol Just like everyone else. The rudest doctor I’ve EVER experienced. Was a first time patient—didn’t even introduce herself just went right to discussing my weight. In the first 10 seconds she just told me how obese I was. I tried telling her that I’ve had a really hard time getting any weight off and if I could get my thyroid or hormones checked. She told me hormones have nothing to do with weight and that I need to do a more extensive workout plan and eat less. Also have had infertility issues/PCOS so was explaining that to her and she said I shouldn’t get pregnant till im not obese anymore. I’ve never felt soooo degraded in my WHOLE LIFE let alone embarrassed and humiliated. Do not GO TO THIS DOCTOR. She is AWFUL!

Horrid. I assure you, you will have a horrid time too. My experience with her dates back to as early as last week. 8/13/2021. So as you can see, some of the reviews on here are old, she’s still repeating the same mistakes. She is still a really bad doctor.

Please, please, please do not go to this doctor. Save yourself some time and money. There were many incidents I had with her. First, when we spoke about genetic testing, I asked if it was possible to get none invasive testing if my test results came back abnormal, even if I had to pay I wouldn't have minded. She said no, that we would need to do the needle test. Second red flag, I had a yeast infection but I wasn't 100% sure. Went in asking for help and she literally said “ I doubt you have one but we will do a test” 24 hours later it was confirmed I did. I went out of my way to get my own meds, other wise I would have been hanging around for a whole day with pain. Biggest red flag, she will make you have NSTs (nonestress test) after 31 weeks pregnant EVERY week.There is no reason to have these test weekly unless you are high risk. She does it to scam your insurance. I went through a scare and have since changed providers at 32 weeks. She is rude, an treats your opinion as inferior.

DO NOT go to this doctor!!! My experience with her was absolutely terrible. I had two appointments with her before she gave me surgery, and both times she was in the room and out in less than ten minutes. I had so many questions, and she just brushed them off. Turns out, they were valid concerns, because I am having to go back to another doctor for the same surgery to fix what she missed. I had my husband come to the post op and she was super polite to him, but whenever I asked something, she got extremely defensive and passive aggressive. I did not feel that she cared about me or my condition at all, and honestly, I wish I had never met her.

I went to her about 3 times before I switched. My Father was killed by a drunk driver on Aug 23, 2020 and I explained I was the only one who was able to make decisions for his funeral and hire lawyers since he wasn't married so I waited to schedule another appointment for 1 month and a half. She told me "that doesn't mean you can not come to doctor." And then after that she took a month long vacation. So apparently I can wait to see the doctor as long as it doesn't mess up her vacation plans.

Staff was great very helpful! But the Dr.Chae ohhh no i would never recommend she was very rude i felt like every time I asked her a question she'd get bothered and was always in a rush. I was pregnant with identical twin boys and of course I had a lot of questions. After 2 or 3 visits I switched doctors and best decision made Dr.Le was amazing total opposite.

Always was greeted by the staff never waited longer then 5 minutes. She was my doctor for both of my kids and they were about 2 years apart from each other..she was amazing always was willing to help..she was quick and fast my children were always evaluated and she made sure I always walked out knowing I was ok and if there was a slight problem she would always make sure to send me to be checked and give my mind ease... the nurse staff is amazing and love them all so friendly and sweet

Horrible doctor. No business being in the medical field. Dr. Chae has absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. Rude, obnoxious and just completely incapable. She needs to go back to ethics school and reset herself if she wants to continue to practice. Do not go see her.

Definitely in the wrong business and should not be a doctor. No bedside manners and does not seem to care about her patients. Glad I switched back to my ob/gym who is top notch no doubt. I decided to give her a try since she took over his office space but big mistake. I made the drive a few miles out to riverside. Go see Dr. Thuan Le

Dr Chae was my OB while I was pregnant, she was always in a hurry, seemed bothered when I asked questions and when I was having a lot of pain toward the end of my pregnancy was unsympathetic to my concerns. I still am suffering residual pain in my left leg due to my sciatica being pinched while pregnant. I was on my feet at work and she said "well that's just part of being pregnant". This was my 2nd pregnancy and I didn't have this pain with my first. I would not reccomend her. Kathleen is great

I would never refer someone to Dr, Chae. I had what should have been a minor procedure. She botched it. She prescribed medication before the procedure and didn't tell me she called it in to the pharmacy. I was sent home from the surgery center on a Friday with after care instructions for a completely DIFFERENT procedure and she did not respond to calls to speak with her. When I finally spoke to her 3 days later....she had no explanation. But she was very SORRY. What a scary experience.
