Having a couple comorbidities (afib and hyperthyroid) while facing risk of coronavirus, Dr. Cugini puts things in perspective right out of the gate, put a hold on a heart procedure that would be premature and maybe even unnecessary, and laid out the game plan to solve the problem. Also, Lisa at the front desk was great. Very empathetic and very precise in setting up two future appointments, a referral to other specialist, and the Rx. Looking forward to moving through the process. Plus, Dr. Cugini has a direct NY style which I enjoyed. Musician too -- has neat displays in examination room of Beatles, Benatar, Red Chili concert memorabilia.

Great endocrinologist! Searched for an excellent endocrinologist here in Naples without great success for a year. My cardiologist recommended Dr Cugnini and my experiences with him are really superb. He spends a good amount of time with his patients and is a terrific doctor. Staff is professional. Book a month in advance this office is in high demand. Highly recommended

Dr. Cugini himself is thorough and takes time with you but my god the rest of the office is terrible and I think he should do something about that. There is no one answering phones, they either don’t call you back at all or call you back in 48 hours, lab requisitions never sent for weeks when I kept showing up to the lab and trying to get into contact with this infuriating office. The woman who usually answers the phone is arrogant and aloof. Sick of dealing with this, don’t want to leave this doctor but am at the end of my rope.

While I have high respect for Dr Cugini and his clinical expertise and manner, unfortunately his staff is bringing his reviews down significantly. NO return phone calls, NO responses to multiple emails, and have "fallen through the cracks" on multiple occasions. When I finally spoke to staff I heard comments such as "3 people are doing the work of five," "You're not the only patient, I have 130 patients with the same needs as you", "don't understand why you are upset, I apologized". I feel sorry for Dr Cugini because all the negative reviews are about his office staff. I know he is losing patients because of this. I cannot, in good faith refer to this office.

I agree. NO return phone calls. We've left 5 messages trying to get an appointment and my husband is a patient of his. Very disappointing.

Dr Cugini is one of the best endocrinologists I’ve ever had. I’ve been hypo calcemic for over 20 years after a total thyroidectomy and has it ever impacted my entire life along with the permanent damage from no longer producing any calcium whatsoever Dr Cugini doesn’t mess around when coming to ones health. He aggressively finds the cause and works one on one with you for a daily corse of action to be taken. He also has a wonderful personality and doesn’t treat one like a number. Secondly his staff is so sweet, and they run one of the most efficient offices I’ve ever been too. So I’m very lucky that NCH contacted Dr Cugini when they admitted me back in 2009

I've been seeing Dr. Cugini for several years. He keeps up with the latest in helping his patients feel great. He really keeps an eye on your blood work and health. I am so glad to have him as my doctor. I've read some of the negative reviews. The office has done a lot to improve service and his staff is very nice. It's a busy office but I usually don't have to wait.

I had to leave this dr for another endocrinologist. It was getting impossible to get through to them via the phone and when I left a message with a question re a flagged test result no one returned my call. There is too much apathy for me to try to deal with. My nephrologist discovered a thyroid issue that no one at Cuginis office thought to look for.

Apps scheduled are on time. However there is a lack of communication at this office. There is also a lack of understanding of blood work outside of the endocrine system.

Finally a doctor who cares, he is smart and is there to help. His New York manner is refreshing at least to me. No BS the truth right up front.

after waiting in the drs. office, for 35 minutes, with no one coming in or telling me they were delayed. I left, this demonstrates a lack of concern , courtesy or respect for a patient, If there is a reason for a delay, other than forgetting that the patient is there, the patient could be treated with a modicum of courtesy and be told that there is a delay and that they are running behind, I'll find another Dr.
