Saved my life
Dr Wolfgang is a straight up rock star. Period. He saved my life, his team was attentive, I attribute my complete recovery to his expertise. Did he hold my hand? No, that’s not his job, but he was kind and empathetic, and for crying out loud he’s the best in the world so if you think he’s going to hover over you like a hen you’re crazy, he’ll save you, then he’s got other people to save! But he is your surgeon for life, and he means it! I would never let another surgeon touch me unless Wolfgang approved. He’s the one.

Negligence in Following-up on his Patients' Cases
While Dr. Wolfgang's experience may place him as a top provider; his team's awareness of the disease they are actually treating is close to null. His team failed to understand the urgency of time when it comes to cancer and used poor excuses to postpone appointments. The doctor was always "busy" or "on holiday/conferences". Cancer doesn't wait! This resulted in the change of the patient's prognosis from stage 2 (resectable) to a stage 4 (metastasis) for mere negligence. When I tried to provide feedback re: his team's actions, at first, Dr. Wolfgang appeared very interested to hear about the details of the circumstances that led to my mother's treatment being ignored during a crucial time. But after 3 attempts at providing such details, Dr. Wolfgang continuously, and very purposely, evaded the subject and never followed-up. In conclusion, because of his team's unprofessionalism and disregard, my mother's surgery was canceled and her life expectancy shortened from years to months.

Dr. Wolfgang performed the Whipple procedure on my father in September of 2017. He was empathetic, kind, confident and flawless. We couldn't imagine going anywhere else for such a complex operation. We continue to call Dr. Wolfgang a friend, and thank him for saving our hero!

Dr. Wolfgang a gifted, skillful, extremely experienced, & humble Surgeon. I felt confident going into surgery w/him as Surgeon for Whipple Procedure. He's the full package w/a calming & friendly bedside manner. My outcome was better than I could hope. He's both caring & supportive. Just know he's a busy much in demand Surgeon wearing multiple hats as Chief of Hepatobilliary Surgery, Surgeon &researcher. He is dedicated to treatment of & finding a screening test for Pancreatic Cancer.

Quite a negative experience. The experimental surgery he performed had not been done as many times as he represented in our initial consultation. He had been chosen based on this number. The result was disastrous. There after he and his team weere arrogant and aloof when kindness and compassion were the correct responses.
