I’m very disappointed by how my elderly parents were treated by the nurse practitioner. While visiting me on vacation, my mother suffered an accident requiring surgery. After their appointment, they faced a long, difficult drive back to Riverside. Instead of showing compassion, the NP was dismissive and unkind, insisting they return in a week.The medical assistant was kind and helpful, offering to print their records for their primary doctor. The NP refused, insisting on email, despite my parents not using it—creating an unnecessary hardship. Worse, my parents felt too intimidated to speak up due to the NP’s rude behavior.Elderly patients deserve patience and empathy. Dr. Sherman is an excellent doctor, but it’s disappointing that someone on his team treated them this way. I hope this is addressed.

Dr. Sherman is a true professional. He swiftly repaired my arm after a nasty motorcycle accident. The X Rays looked awful. The ORIF carried out by Dr. Sherman allowed me to return to my sport within a matter of months. Highly recommend Dr. Sherman for any orthopedic reconstructions.

The appointments were always on time. From the receptionist to the PA team to Dr. Sherman, I have never experienced a more professional medical team.

I had four fractures in my ankle due to a wood stair collapse, I feel so grateful that I had Dr Sherman as my surgeon, he put my ankle back together, was meticulous in my care from the surgery all the way through my recovery which is still ongoing. I can't say enough about his wonderful staff who were always there for me, providing support and help when I needed it through my recovery process. I have been non weight bearing on my left ankle for months and my right knee has suffered, If my right knee needs surgery I would go visit the best surgeon I know, Dr Sherman.

He is the most knowledgeable, capable, kind, caring, skilled, and committed surgeon I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. His staff is not only competent but they care. I would highly recommend him!!

My husband had a traumatic motorcycle accident in Nov and by the grace of only the big man upstairs Dr Sherman was the trauma surgeon on call that night! He endured a double fasciotomy, 6 surgeries, 9 blood infusions, and most surgeons I'm confident would have removed his leg. Dr Sherman was up for the challenge. After being bedridden, wheelchair, crutches, and cane... 8 months later he is walking unassisted. Dr. Sherman is kind, skilled, attentive, and he cares. He was concerned at Christmas time and even came to our house on a housecall because he CARES THAT MUCH!! My husband does not easily trust and it is hard to earn his respect But He adores Dr Sherman and we are thankful for him on a daily basis. If you are lucky enough to have him as your surgeon know that there are no better more competent hands to be in. We also love his entire staff!! From day 1 they have treated us like family and supported us through tears as well as triumph. I'm out of room but could go on forever!

Dr. Sherman has been my treating orthopedic surgeon since 2021. Given the complex nature of my case, I value a doctor who will take the time to ensure things are done right. I am not a medical doctor- I am not trained in doctor terminology or medical vocab- I appreciate that he and his staff explain things so that nonmedical professionals can understand. He and his staff have been nothing but caring and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Sheman and his team.

I would give Dr. Sherman and his staff the highest rating possible. Over the years I have consulted with and referred Dr. Sherman to anyone that has knee or hip issues. He has replaced both my knees , and recently replaced my hip. He is an outstanding surgeon, explains the process well, and has a caring bedside manner. He is always available for questions, and his staff are the best

More than satisfied with hip replacement surgery performed about three months ago by Dr. Sherman. The whole experience was great - deciding when surgery was best option, pre-op visit, actual procedure and home recovery plan, follow up appointments, and most importantly, the result! No more chronic pain, increased mobility and a refreshed mental outlook that comes with being able to more fully participate in everyday life. Highly recommend Dr Sherman and his staff. Thank you!

Dr. Sherman operated on my teenage son's severe tibial fracture, which he sustained during a basketball match. The surgery and post-op care was absolutely top notch. Dr. Sherman and his staff were outstanding in every regard. He was always very approachable and available. He provided constant care with great sensitivity and clarity. He made himself available for any and all questions, never rushing us. My son is an athlete and Dr. Sherman connected with him instantly and adjusted his treatment to meet my son's needs as an athlete. He also referred us to a great physical therapy practice where they worked with my son to build him back up as a basketball player as quickly as possible. My son's leg healed perfectly and stronger than before, and, recently, he got recruited to play college basketball.

Following a mechanical fall and fractured right hip, Dr. Sherman performed an anterior approach arthroplasty. I was fortunate he was “on call” that Sunday. At the time I did not fully appreciate the value of an anterior approach and that not all orthopedic surgeons are experienced in that surgery. It made my recovery easier and faster and no issues since surgery. Also, I had no pain post surgery. I truly appreciate the skill and expertise of Dr Sherman.

Dr Sherman is the only Dr. that we have ever had that actually was available to return an email in a reasonable time frame and responded to the situation without having some assistant that didn’t know the situation respond with useless information. Dr. Sherman responded specifically to the points in reference to our needs. Thank you very much Dr. Sherman

Dr. Sherman is a wonderful surgeon. He takes time to explain the procedure and also allows patients to ask questions and voice any concerns. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about his patients. This is my second surgery (two different incidents) and he is excellent. My pain level has gone from 10 to zero now. His staff is also very courteous. In such a difficult time of my life they made it easier with their empathy and kindness.

Dr. Sherman is Great!

Dr. Sherman was the on call orthopedic trauma surgeon when I fell while on vacation from Arizona. He did an excellent job with my hip replacement. I feel fortunate that he was there. He was easy to talk with and available for questions. He told me after the surgery that I was a young 75 year old and to get out there and enjoy life. And thanks to him I am able to do so.

I recently broke my leg. Dr. Sherman and his staff have been so polite and helpful to me. He’s a great doctor! I’m so thankful that I was treated by him.

Memorial Day will be memorable as I fell from a ladder and broke my hip. My good fortune was that Dr. Sherman was the trauma surgeon on duty. I was terrified about this injury as I am on MediCal and an older patient. I thought a broken hip would cause me to be sedentary and shorten my life. Dr. Sherman recognized that I live a more active life and assured me that the repair would allow an active lifestyle and I’d regain most functionality. At 6 weeks, I have resumed weight training and am still in PT at this time. Most of my daily function is good with minimal discomfort. The hip and incision have healed beautifully. He took amazing care to listen to me and to alleviate fears. He is highly skilled and his staff is very caring.

Dr. Sherman and his staff were all very personable, caring and professional. Dr. Sherman gave me a new hip and the surgery went amazing! He is the man! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sherman for your surgery. Well worth the trip from wherever you may live to have Dr. Sherman do your surgery.
