Dr. Christopher Shaw, MD

Dr. Shaw was very professional and caring as he listened carefully to what I was currently experiencing, and asked important questions to understand my medical history and concerns better. Given the severity of my situation and the factors of my own doing, Dr. Shaw had a very concerning, stern, and medically sound conversation with me about the importance of managing my blood pressure, the life-long effect, and the detrimental outcome.I was very reluctant to be admitted into the hospital for overnight observation (as that was my second time ever), still, with Dr. Shaw’s initial care and conversation, I took his medical advice and agreed. Dr. Shaw treated my hypertension and my other symptoms and diagnoses that initially made me go into the ER; which gave me immediate relief. I was truly given the best care by Dr. Shaw and the entire WMCER team who took care of me during my stay.

My grandma was transferred into the ED from a local rehab after several days of negligence we arrived at Winchester Medical Center..from the moment Dr Shaw came in the room he was attentive and thorough. He asked questions and actually listened as my mother and I voiced our concerns. His active listening and expertise allowed us to have my grandmother assessed and admitted for further treatment. His bed-side manner really put us at ease. Thank you to all the staff who helped with my grandmother under Dr. Shaw!

I had a really good experience at Winchester medical thanks to Dr. Shaw and all the staff that helped me early this morning when I unfortunately had to go in to the ER due to severe abdominal pain. They were all so helpful and informative. It really helped having such supportive staff and such attentive doctor and surgeon while going through such a painful and scary experience.

As a “younger” patient I’ve been complaining about my back for YEARS. I’ve always been written off and felt so unheard to the point I’ve just lived everyday in constant pain. This morning before I came in, I told my partner “It’s a waste of time, they never listen to me”. WOW, I’m so happy to say that was not the case. Mr. Shaw is sooooo compassionate and understanding. He made me feel heard and took all the appropriate actions to figure out what was wrong. He didn’t rush me, he didn’t make me feel stupid, he was everything you’d pray to find in a Dr. Come to find out I genuinely have something wrong with my back. I never would have know had he not cared enough to hear me and take the time to do all these test. I’ve seen many Drs in my years and he’s at the top of the list of best. If only we had many more Drs like him.
