Dr. Christopher Sanker, MD

A family member was scheduled for oral surgery. Upon meeting Dr Sanker, we were informed that his plan was to perform surgery while simultaneously providing deep sedation or general anesthesia alone, without a separate qualified anesthesia provider. According to Michigan Administrative code Rule 338.11601, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon aka OMS can legally and technically do both in Michigan, the standard of care leans toward having a second qualified individual, sedation trained assistant or anesthesiologist. In my opinion, as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist currently licensed in the state of Michigan, this practice is extremely unsafe. Realistically, it is impractical and likely non-compliant with safety standards. We opted to cancel the surgery and find a safe alternative. It is just a matter of time before there is a bad outcome because of this unsafe practice.

My visit was very smooth. I was treated quickly. The care I received was excellent and the extraction got me out of pain.

First of all, everyone at this office was very friendly, which is super important to me. The girl at the window gave me all the info I needed, to make a good choice to have all 4 of my daughters wisdom teeth done at once, instead of two now and two later. But Lindsay, by far was the best! She put me at ease concerning my daughters surgery. She answered all our questions, spoke directly to my (teen) daughter, very knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and accomodating, as my daughter is a hard stick. Everything went great! Dr. Sanker got the I.V in one try and explained everything to us. Thank God, Dr. Sanker, and the staff. Happy Mom

Dr. Sanker was patient, direct and incredibly informative. Once he’d diagnosed my case he thouroughly went through treatment options and allowed me to be a part of what happened next. I was incredibly comfortable and felt like I was in the best hands possible. Incredible surgeon.

My son recently had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Sanker and we were very happy with the experience from start to finish! We were able to get an appointment at a time that was convenient for us and worked well with my son’s school schedule. Dr. Sanker was patient and kind and answered all our questions and listened to our concerns. On the day of the surgery, he was very professional but kept the tone very light and relaxed. We were happy with my son’s recovery time.

My 12 year old son needed to have a molar pulled. I called Friday afternoon, and they got him in to see Dr. Sanker the following Monday. We arrived 25 minutes early for his appt, and we we're called back almost immediately. Lindsey, the dental assistant, had such a great bedside manor. She was very fun and outgoing, but still answered my sons concerns truthfully. Dr. Sanker was very nice and efficient through the whole visit. Overall, my son was pleasantly surprised how the procedure went

Dr. Sanker is absolutely the best surgeon around. His kindness, care and passion for his job really shows. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Sanker is awesome! My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed and he made the entire experience comfortable and easy. His personality and professionalism is above five star. I would recommend Dr. Sanker to family and friends without hesitation. I would definitely take my other children to him when they need to have their wisdom teeth removed. I felt very comfortable with his staff, they are all very nice and accommodating.

Let me start by saying Dr. Sanker is a very nice and a caring individual. Having said that I feel his level of experience with a non-standard procedure is very lacking. During a very difficult tooth extraction last Fall Dr. Sanker perforated my sinus cavity. This resulted in a severe infection of my sinus cavity which required a surgical procedure and an extensive healing process. Besides the associated time and pain I have to date incurred over $3,400 in out of pocket costs resulting from this.

I highly recommend this office and Dr. Sanker! When arriving for our daughter Sarah's appointment, we were greeted with a very welcoming smile by the front desk girl, Sarah. She was so knowledgeable and kind. She immediately put us at ease. The office is beautiful and the staff as a whole were very professional and upbeat. Dr. Sanker did an excellent job of gum surgery; the area healed quickly and well. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and answered all of my questions.

I had my bottom two wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Sanker did a great job explaining the options I had and what the possible outcomes were. I was very pleased with the entire procedure. When everything was complete there were no surprises, everything was as I expected. The entire staff were very kind, courteous and professional.

Staff was professional and friendly to a degree that I find way above normal. They were helpful and attentive,, and followed through on all requests. They went above and beyond to make sure this was as comfortable an experience as possible for my family, especially my special needs son!

Dr. Sanker put me at ease. I'm a 52 year old woman that had to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled. This is usually done in adults about 20, I was scared as I am a chemotherapy patient. Dr Sanker assured me that everything would be fine, and it was.

The entire office staff was very friendly and helpful. Day of procedure they did everything possible to make my daughter comfortable.

Dr. Sanker was very welcoming and professional throughout the entire process of getting my 4 wisdom teeth removed. He did everything possible to comfort me and let me know that I was doing a great job, and that nothing was my fault (although I know it was my fault for waiting so long to have them removed). He explained everything during my procedure letting me know what he was doing and what sensations I could expect to feel. Afterward everything went well, and I'm now pain free!
