Dr. Christopher Mondello, DO

This is the best Dr I've had since moving to Florida from Md in 2014, Donna is a compassionate and caring professional that I wouldn't trade for the word.

Everyone from the the front desk, friendly reminders about appts, the Dr. Was A+ 5 stars! The Nurse practioner listened carefully and went over my history with me, asked if I had questions, and was very straight shooter but friendly as a professional. Outstanding first visit with a vary short wait time.

I don’t usually post but I have a psa to share of the most infuriating physician service I have ever seen. I apologize in advance for the long post. I would strongly avoid Mondello clinic at any cost! The priority is $$ not patient care! I am a disable individual with many chronic conditions and have also had undiagnosed pain since October that I have gotten procedures and surgeries with no answers so I know I can be challenging for many doctors. I have gone to Dr. Christopher Mondello for the last 11 months. I saw a pa 4 times in less than a year but never met Mondello. Until today when I spoke with the PA who, even though I corresponded with her via portal, phone and internal messages she seemed upset at my requests for labs and said she wasn’t aware of my request. After she noted my lab requests she left the room and she and Dr Mondello returned. Long story short he explained that because I chose an HMO which only pays him $1000/month that I have exceeded my $1000 of work his office

I have been a patient of Dr. Mondello for several years. He is a great doctor and Nurse Donna is spectacular. His downfall is going to be his office staff. The front desk exude arrogance and conceitedness. The desk clerk on 6/4/21 at 1:00 was not concerned about patients at all and pointed out the obvious on paperwork I’d already given her. As a first impression, she would be better suited working at the fast food restaurant next door flipping burgers. My prescriptions and billing have been routinely messed up. I’ve had to use three-way calling with my insurance company as their billing department has messed up.

I have been with Dr Mondello for better than 5 years. He is my Primary Care Doctor of choice. In that time his office manages all my diabetes needs in addition to my primary care. He has a staff that includes some top notch Practicing Registered Nurses that work with all the routine needs pronto. Have nothing but praise for the system Dr Mondello uses to both diagnose, manage, follow up and adjust medical treatment as needed.

Expensive somewhat ineffective treatments resulted in burn marks, bruises and swelling. My complaints about treatment side effects and results were met with recommendations for additional (expensive) treatments! Plastic Surgeon charges without the expertise. Doc, Carol, Lucy & Kara were very nice they did not remedy the situation and accused me of "not being able to be satisfied or happy with their service"!

I have many medical issues and my PCP at the time would not refer me out to anyone? He thinks pills fix everything. Well, fearing for my safety I left. Unattended for over a year. My health insurance advisor highly recommended Doctor Mondello's office. Well, I've been going there for about a year now and, I absolutely love this office... Mary and Katie are outstanding! They are so easy to talk to, honest, knowledgable, professional, open minded and are sincerely listening to what your concerns and needs are.. I find all the girls to be top notch. What an extraordinary team! They are patient, honest, trusting, experienced, knowledgeable, professional, swift, caring and sincere. And, they have helped me so much. They don't judge, they love and It feels good to be treated like a person not a number. And, I know they love and embrace their choosen profession because it shows.. I feel safe and cared about. I personally have not met Dr. Mondello but I have seen Dr. Navarro who is awesome. Love this doctor. I do not feel rushed during my visit and he listens to me. I have also seen both of the Nurse Practitioners and they are awesome too. They all truly care about my concerns.

I love everything about this office, & the staff is AMAZING!! Always professional, friendly, & wait time isn't long.

My family one by one are joining the clinic. Great family orientation.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Mondello and seeing both he and his nurse practitioners for many years and have found the service to be outstanding and comprehensive.

The Staff and Doctors at Mondello in Dundee, and in Frostproof, are truly caring and professional people. I have seen Dr. Mondello for over 4 years now, and I have learned over time that they do actually care about the well being of their patients. I haven't felt this way at other Doctor's Offices. There I was treated like just another patient to get in and out of the door as soon as possible. Not at Mondello. I highly recommend Dr. Mondello and Dr. Donna Shepherd to anyone. Outstanding people

Doctor seems more interested in pushing cosmetic procedures, rather than providing medical service. He enters the exam room & rarely does any physical exams, just tells the script/nurse what to type. Never makes eye contact when discussing issues/conditions. Always in a hurry, never in a room with a patient more than 5-10min after patient has waited 45min+. Poor health care manager.
