Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Any negative reviews on here are about his scheduling or his office, not about Dr. Mawn himself and that is completely unfair. My husband was rushed into emergency surgery for MRSA that had grew into the muscle of his neck. Dr. Mawn came in at 5 in the morning, still in his street clothes, and had my husband in the OR within 20 minutes. He preformed multiple more surgeries over the next few weeks and absolutely and without a doubt saved his life. I will praise Dr. Mawn’s name until the day I die. He is kind, honest, brilliant and has incredible and empathetic bedside manner. I wish I could give this man the world because he saved my entire world.

Nate
I was put on a waiting list for 2 months to be seen in summit county. I called back after 2 months and apparently the waiting list for August is now full even though I have been on it for 2 months. The kicker is they don't even treat tinnitus in summit county! Their scheduling staff had me thinking I was on a wait list for 2 months and they don't even treat what I was being seen for up here. 2 months I have been dealing with ear pain and ringing and they don't even trwat my problem up here! How inept is your scheduling staff? I highly recommend you see someone else if you actually want to be seen.

I am 74 and have had five ENT Docs in my life. Dr. Mawn is the best I have had. He is highly qualified and is thorough in his examinations and treatment. I would recommend him to my family.

For a doctor he has no empathy. When I was waiting for my nose to numb up and the door was closed everyone was laughing loudly for 10 minutes. It was weird. If you want a warm, caring person, go somewhere else

I have seen many doctors for all my chronic conditions and Dr. Mawn is the best. He has great bedside manner, listens to patient concerns, went out of his way to try and figure out what was causing my chronic inflammation when other doctors wouldn’t. He explains things thoroughly and follows up when he says he will. He performed two major sinus surgeries on me and I was very pleased how he handled my unique and complex situation.

Horrible, horrible customer service. The front office is a complete failure. They were not willing to do anything whatsoever to make up for their failure, let alone take any form of responsibility. They were totally unapologetic and were even snarky to me when I asked why they screwed up and what they were going to do about it. Their failure, and their response to their own failure is totally unacceptable. 100% their fault yet they were not willing to anything at all, nothing. Who operates a medical practice that way ? Any Doctor who would allow their office staff operate this way should be questioned and scrutinized. He does have a reputation here in Summit County for being mean, rude and late. Every person that I have spoken with that works with him at the hospital can not stand him. Everything written here is fact and can be backed up with hard proof. Use someone else !

I saw Dr Mawn in 2019 for hoarseness. He put a small camera scope down my throat to look at my vocal cords and pronounced them fine, and told me my hoarseness and cough was due to allergies. Two years later, my hoarseness has progressed to add chronic cough and constant throat clearing . I finally got a referral to another ENT, who right away noticed my enlarged thyroid. After an ultrasound showed a large nodule, I had a fine needle biopsy, awaiting results. I agree with the other reviews here; that Dr. Mawn was not really paying attention, and dismissed my complaint without even looking at my thyroid. He does not seem interested in actually listening or examining his patients. Beware.

I went in to correct a deviated septum and a rhinoplasty. As soon as I was awake from surgery, Dr. Mawn came in a told me he could have done more but "did not want to" because I was going back to school. He also stated that if I started having similar symptoms, as from before the surgery, within 6 weeks to 6 months, then the surgery did not work. In less than six weeks, I was having similar symptoms. Now, 2 years later, I am worse than I was before going into surgery with Dr. Mawn. I have no sense of smell and cannot breathe regularly through my nose. I am extremely disappointed that he did not just do the surgery right in the first place. I am now looking for a new doctor to get my nose fixed for the second time. I would not recommend going to Dr. Mawn.

Saw me for a total of 2 minutes. Very brief and uncaring, prescribed a nasal spray and sent me on my way. Got a bill 7 months later for $300 and spray was ineffective. Would not recommend

Thanks you to you and your wonderful staff for the kindness and professionalism shown to my husband and I on our recent visit. Kudos to you all that the scope biopsy worked and we don't have to do a surgical one. Big relief and once again thanks for the extra care. so appreciate it!

My son had a lipoma removed. On his return visit to remove his stitches, Dr. Mawn did not bother to look at the wound and had no time to answer questions. A week later my son began feeling ill and noticed additional stitches were coming out. As it was a weekend he called the on call service to let them know and did not receive a call back from Mawn who was the Dr. on Call. He returned to the office Monday and Dr. Mawn showed no concern and an assistant looked at my sons would and informed him he was rejecting the stitches. Dr. Mawn obviously has no real concern for the patients he treats.

Absolute total rip off! I was referred here, and for me to see the doctor for a consultation, and him to look up my nose and say I need a cat scan to see what's going on in my sinuses he charged my insurance over $1200! Of which I owe over $600! I saw him for all of 5 minutes. Now it's not his fault for my insurance, but it IS his fault for charging so damned much for doing NOTHING but looking up my nose and telling me I need a cat scan, to which they didn't even send me any info for one as they were supposed to. And THEN I get a totally separate bill for ANOTHER consultation for the same day, same facility, different doctor. Nope, that didn't happen. TOTAL RIPOFF!! I'm disputing the charges with my insurance co.

Dr. Mawn removed a large lipoma from my neck. 3 months later, it is perfectly healed. He was direct and practical. For example, he recommended against expensive cancer tests because I'd had the lipoma for 10 years. He was also able perform the removal in his office, saving me a hospital visit. The staff was very friendly and informative.

My husband suffered a collision with another skier who came from behind him, resulting in a face plant and subsequent multiple facial fractures. We feel lucky that the local hospital in Summit, St. Anthony's, reached out to him when the extent of trauma was realized. Two separate surgeries over 2 days to stabilize upper and lower jaws, orbital and mid face fractures. Scary, but an excellent job by Dr. Mawn, the nursing staff, which was uniformly excellent and the hospital.

I have been a pt of Dr. Christopher Mawn for about two years now, and I also have 10+ years working in different niches within the healthcare field. Much of my career has been spent at a large academic medical center and I’ve worked directly with many senior level world class physicians, none of whom even compare to Dr. Mawn. His professionalism and demeanor towards both his patients and staff is unparalleled. He is not just a “typical surgeon” He is extremely empathetic and invested in his pats

After discovering I had a nodular melanoma, the "deadliest and fastest growing" of all melanomas, I was referred to Dr. Mawn. He took on my case with a real sense of urgency, fast-tracking appointments and tests so that he had all the information he needed to make the right decisions in the operating room. He skillfully removed all of the cancer cells and my scarring is amazingly unnoticeable. He is not only a very skilled surgeon, but takes a genuine interest in his patients and their recovery
