I have been very happy with Dr. Martin. He has always provided excellent care. I have been seeing Dr. Martin, gastroenterology for many years. The recent problem is the billing from Phelps Northwell Hospital Phelps Northwell is a ripoff I get a colonoscopy in the office every 2 or 3 years. PREVIOUS COSTS: Amount billed $2,423.00 Plan discount $1,529.31 Your plan paid $858.69 Your total cost $35.00 Now same procedure in the hospital: Amount billed $20,825.50 Plan discount $8,877.21 Your plan paid $11,789.02 Your total cost $1,309.89 There is no way this is a $20,000 dollar procedure. Disgraceful that they would even bill these numbers.

Dr Martin helped my husband immediately and my husband was released from hospital the following day. He has a very calm demeanor, he is very informative and, if he doesn’t feel he can give expert advice on an issue, he refers you to a doctor who is. My husband was so pleased with his care. He is our favorite specialist

Scheduled for consult the entire process was excellent. Dr Martin was calm and made me feel very comfortable. The day of my endo and colon procedure was flawless He was on time and explained everything. I must admit I was shocked that everything was done on schedule. In the past I had another doctor and I would spend hours waiting. Dr Martin was outstanding

My experiences with Dr. Martin at this point is minimal. One visit as I had my recommended colonoscopy after I turned 50. Like many, I delayed it several years before finally getting around to scheduling. Amazing how that's always last on your list. Dr. Martin was pleasant, explained the procedure well, answered all questions. Just be aware of any add-on visits by other doctors since you are in a hospital. A cardiologist showed up because I had a rapid heart beat. That was unnecessary.
