Dr. Christopher Manieri, DO

Great Doctor, very informative and good personality!

I met Dr Manieri at Beebe Hospital ER, when I had an acute surgical abdomen, a small bowel obstruction. He had the skills, and personality to communicate the surgery needed, and giving me a choice between a larger surgery, and a smaller surgery, with his guidance I chose. He patiently followed me in the hospital for days, to make sure things are working well. I’d go back to him tomorrow, If he would allow. Just to explain my point of view, I started working in an ER at age 18, finish my career as a podiatrist. Well I am not a general surgeon by any means, I’ve seen a lot of docs over the years and this physician is a very good one.

INOVA Bariatrics is a great office- the coordinator, Juliet, is amazing; very friendly, knowledgeable, and always gets back to you quickly. The front desk staff is also prompt and friendly. Dr. Nain is a typical surgeon- gets down to brass tacks but overall a good doctor. My only negative experience is with Dr. Manieri; I felt like I was being judged-he rolled his eyes several times, asked if I had questions, but would then cut me off. He seems to prescribe to the "if you're fat, you're lazy" mentality which, if you're a bariatric patient, know that's not the case and there are many factors at play. I'm hoping I won't have to meet with him often.
