ZERO STARS!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! He was rude, insulting, foul mouthed, and threatening. But you have no choice as he is the provider for The VA. It is shameful that this is what the government provides to take care of our veterans. He has a horrible body odor that you may want to prepare yourself for. I cannot accept that he is allowed to speak with patients and their families in the manner he does. I don't believe the 'F' word is medical terminology when used as an adverb or an adjective.

Nine Years and Satisfied Completely
Staff at Fonda Clinic is very professional and very caring. I have been working with Dr. Kolbay for nine years. I have to disagree with the negative reviews. I find him to be an incisive and caring professional MD. I suppose this make up of his may clash with certain individuals. For me, I always walk away from our meetings knowing he has my health at correct management.

I've been with Dr. Kolbay and the Fonda Clinic for 5 years and have to disagree with all of the above comments. Overworked, yet but that fault lies in Washington. From Louis and Nurse Alice at the front desk and Nurses Dawn and Janet in the back, I look forward to the one-hour drive from Cobleskill as opposed to the one-hour drive to Albany. Dr. Kolbay always spends as much time as needed with my aging body and mind. I have Medicare Advantage but prefer the care I get from the VA in Fonda. Stratton is much more impersonal but it is a bit larger and covers a huge area..

Grumpy ole guy with patient overload - Once one has settled the fact that you are a veteran, and Kolbay is obligated to treat you with respect, there is no question this guy knows his business - I believe he is over-worked and short tempered, and so am I - -
