Dr. Christopher Ito, MD

I have seen Dr. Ito in consultation , sleep endoscopy, and for my implant surgery. He is very pleasant , willing to answer any questions you may have , explains very thoroughly what to expect through the entire process. Very timely. I was impressed on how fast the inspire surgery was scheduled after sleep endoscopy approximately 3 weeks after. The entire staff was wonderful throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ito to everyone

I’ve struggled greatly with nasal breathing troubles for the majority of my life — up until now. Before meeting Dr. Ito, I had tried a large variety, if not the entirety, of interventions available to me: medications, allergy shots, surgeries, etc. I started to feel hopeless that I would never be able to breathe normally. Then I met Dr. Ito; I had already anticipated that surgical intervention would be the best course of action, but he took the time to educate me on my conditions, and told me another route of surgery (than I had originally been referred for) would be the better choice. He gave me hope, and I trusted him. Surgery was scheduled for the end of May; quick, easy, and not too painful of a recovery. I’m a month out from surgery — my panic attacks, and anxiety overall have been extremely reduced, and I can sleep, just because of the fact that I can breathe. Dr. Ito is a breath of fresh air, literally. Dr. Ito, if you are reading this, thank you for changing my life.

Dr. Ito has been incredibly helpful in treating my diagnosis which meant a complicated surgery due to a prior surgeons error. He has been able to answer my many questions and offer good advice for after care as well. I am comforted to know I can be confident in his ability to treat my diagnosis going forward. I would highly recommend him.

I am presently suffering from a long term serious case of post nasal drip. Dr Ito has seen me several times inspected my nasal passages and tried two remedies to no avail. My problem with Dr Ito is that he doesn’t care. His treatment from day one was not explanatory, informative or friendly. He consistently would proscribe one thing and tell me to get back in 60 or more days allowing giant gaps in communication and care. After well over a year of treatment, I am feeling helplessly trapped with this life altering malady. From day one, I felt a coldness and indifference from Dr Ito. When I discovered an infection in my mouth that could be the cause Dr Ito refused to discuss the possibility of the infection causing my nasal drip without seeing me and adamantly scheduled an appointment 60 days later and the day after a bladder chemotherapy treatment that I was sure I couldn’t make. I had to cancel that appointment after he made me wait 60 days to see him. I have yet to hear from him.

Dr. Ito is knowledgeable and patient with excellent bedside manner. He did an outstanding job in correcting my mother's issue safely and compassionately. Highly recommend.

I have been suffering from Nasal polyps for several years now, and I can genuinely say that if it were not for his care and knowledge, I wouldn't have the quality of life that I do now. He's a very down to earth guy, and he went out of his way to make time and accommodate me in his schedule, despite short notice. Surgery was an outstanding success, and it has revolutionized my life. I’ve seen Dr. Ito since 2018. I’d wake up many times at night, sometimes gasping to breathe. My brain would be telling me to wake up and breathe! I couldn’t breathe through my right nostril and my PCP told me to see an ENT. I saw Dr. Ito. I had a deviated septum. Surgery was scheduled. Due to unexpected health issues, my surgery was postponed. Then the pandemic hit and elective surgeries were canceled. On 7/17/21, my surgery took place at UMASS Memorial in Worcester. 5 days later I had my first post-op appointment and the splints in my nose taken out (no big deal). I took a breath through my nose and loudly said “Oh my God, this is the first time I can breathe out of my right nostril in YEARS!” I was so happy, relieved and thanked him several times, huge difference! His expertise, thoroughness, patience in explaining so I understood, his welcoming, calm, compassionate manner, sense of humor and friendly staff are why I recommend Dr. Ito highly! I have been going to talk toDr. Ito for two years now for my sinuses. He promised me he could fix me. On my visit today he told me my sinusitis is gone. He did it he fix it and I can’t thank him enough and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My recent interactions with Dr. Ito have left me with a remarkable amount of respect and gratitude. While facing surgery to remove a pituitary tumor, I was experiencing anxiety which Dr. Ito helped to calm by thoroughly explaining the procedure. When surgery was conducted, he personally followed up with me, updated me and discussed my healing. Dr. Ito's interpersonal communication skills were excellent when dealing with me encouraging questions, concerns and comments. As anticipated, the procedure went well, Dr. Ito's portion of the procedure was flawless and my healing and post op appointments continue. I could barely breathe through my right nostril due to an injury. Dr Ito performed surgery on me and after 6-8 weeks I was already able to breathe better when going to bed or exercising. A year later, I face no issues and I'm able to breathe just as well, if not better, than before my injury. The overall healing process went great because my symptoms were kept to a minimum and no adjustments had to be made due to Dr. Ito's outstanding performance

To start off I'm not a person that reviews much of anything period, however with respect to Dr. Ito I feel compelled to write him a five star review! After years of dealing with nasal polyps, whizzing and sinus infections I finally decided enough! I had to fix these sinus issue's before they cause more me problems as I age. I did some internet research on local Dr. and Dr. Ito was not my first choice but due to retirement of my first pick, I decided to contact Dr. Ito office. I'm glad I did, my visit was straight forward Dr. Ito advised me of all the issue's and made recommendation's. Following Dr. Ito prognosis for (us car guys out there) has turned my single barrel carburetor into duel quads!! It's been over a year since my surgery no whizzing, no breathing out of 1 nostril, no polyps returning and best of all no sinus infections. Dr. Ito has exceeded my expectations in his professionalism, guidance, no frills advise, I highly recommend Dr. Ito, from someone who doesn't review.

Dr. Ito performed sinus surgery on me after I had meningitas. I would very highly recommend Dr. Ito. He is amazing to say the least. He doesn't rush you and explains everything. He is very caring about his patients. He speaks to you like you matter and not just another patient.

When my original ENT doctor retired, I did not think I would find anyone with the experience and professionalism that I was used to. I needed a doctor with experience and knowledge. Well, Doctor Ito's knowledge is beyond his years. He listened to my concern and identified the issue, then offered real solutions. My life is better because of him. He is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone. I can't say enough good things about his practice.

Dr. Ito is without a doubt one if the best ENT doctors I have ever seen!! He is professional, kind compassionate and extremely great at what he does. I had a deviated Septum surgery, he did a phenomenal job. I can taste, talk, and smell again! He always calls personally to check up on me. I can not recommend him enough, his work is exceptional!!! I am blessed to have found him.

I had a nose bleed that just would not stop. Went to ER in another hospital and they could not treat my condition, I was actually told to go to UMASS for treatment. I went to the ER there and met Dr. Ito. Bottom line he is the best, figured out the problem, operated and fixed my condition. A very nice person, professional, and explains everything in terms a normal person can understand. A pleasure to meet Dr.Ito. I can understand why the hospital holds him in high regards. Dr Ito did my nasel surgery, he fix me so I can breathe better. I had bad sinus infections he made every visit easy and was kind. His bed side manner is best I have seen in a long time

He was great at explaining what the issue was and it required surgery. The pre surgical visit was excellent and the surgery went great. The follow up visits have been quick and everything is going great. Dr. Ito fixed an issue I have been dealing with for years. I highly recommend Dr. Christopher Ito.

I absolutely recommend Dr. Ito on every single count. 1. Fantastic surgeon! 2. Very friendly/Easy to talk to. 3. Kept me informed about everything with my current and possible future care. 4. Showed he cared about my full recovery by adding a follow-up when full recovery wasn't evident at normal final follow up. I have been a mouth-breather forever. I simply couldn't breathe out of my nose well. Nothing helped and as time passed my breathing slowly went from difficult to "feels like I'm trying to breathe through a straw at a Boba Tea shop". Plus, I could never smell well and this too was getting worse. After seeing Dr. Ito, he set me up for a septoplasty/sinuplasty very quickly. The surgery was my first major surgery under anesthesia and my first major surgical recovery. It was no big deal. Healing was quick and clean. The second Dr. Ito removed my stents, I could breathe! He honestly changed my life. There has been such a benefit. If you need an ENT doctor/surgeon go to him!

I had NO sense of smell for almost 7 years! Most people don't realize that your sense smell is over 80% of what you taste. I love to cook and it was incredibly depressing not to be able to taste what I made. I had another surgeon perform 3, very painful, sinus surgeries prior to meeting Dr. Ito. After I was referred to Dr. Ito, he formulated a treatment plan and performed surgery that was an immediate success! My sense of smell was restored when I left day surgery, that was almost a year ago. I have been able to smell (without being on Prednisone) for an entire year. The treatment plan that I follow, keeps the disease at bay. I would shout his name off of rooftops if that would help others who are plagued with loss of smell, it is a huge loss and sadly most people fluff it off. Dr. Ito is a wonderful, skilled, caring doctor and he listens to his patients.
