I can’t possibly say enough about Dr. Gannon. My husband had pancreatic cancer that was borderline resectable. He guided us through the long journey and was able to perform the Whipple procedure. He always explained each step of the process and ensured all our questions were answered. He and his team continue to make sure recovery is progressing as it should. I believe the care he provides should be the benchmark by which others should learn. It’s important to note that care begins when entering his office. From the first visit, the front desk team treated us with a deep level of care and compassion and the ARPN Suzette Garrick was immediately available to me during recovery to ensure my concerns were addressed.Dr. Gannon should be first name in surgical oncology.

My father was admitted to Memorial Hospital back in May 2023. He was diagnosed with a blockage which turned out to be colon cancer. Dr. Gannon was by the grace of God my father’s surgeon. He not only removed the cancer but also avoided my father, having to have a colostomy bag which would have required another surgery. I truly believe my 87-year-old father would not have survived if he didn’t have a surgeon who was as skilled as Dr. Gannon. My father was in the hospital for about a month and Dr. Gannon did not miss a day visiting him to check on his progress. He also answered all of our families questions throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Gannon . My family and I are very grateful to him and his staff for giving my father the gift of more time on this planet.

Dr. Gannon is very professional, caring, experienced and knowledgeable. He was part of a wonderful (DREAM) team of doctors that performed a complicated surgery on me. While at the hospital, he visited me after the surgery on several occasions and I really felt that he cared about my recuperation. I put my life in this man's hands to perform a high-risk surgery I required. I am not sure I would have felt more comfortable in anybody else's care. He is very thorough in explaining the required procedure, potential complications and expected recovery. His office staff is excellent, caring and very timely. I never waited longer than 5 minutes to get started with my appointment. I came through the operation with flying colors and great news with the results. If you are ever faced with a surprise from your health care providers and are faced with a high-risk surgery, do yourself a favor and seek out this highly competent surgeon. Oh, and do not let him fool you. He does have a sense of humor!

There are good, average and not so good doctors. And if you are lucky you can meet a really gifted talented doctor like Dr Gannon. He operated my colon cancer with minimal invasion so I could leave hospital after 3 days. Actually I left after 4 for different reasons. And I could compare doctors. Since I got to emergency room I was approached by half of dozen surgeons offering solutions from not acceptable to simply horrible.. Thank you, Dr Gannon
