Dr. Christopher Doran, MD

A just read a patient review from a woman who was referred to Dr Doran, was initially pleased with his bedside manner, etc. however after two unsuccessful rounds of injections, she was told there’s nothing more he could offer. She spoke about how she pleaded for possible alternative treatments or even suggestions referrals for other possible doctors or recommendations. She was told flat out there was nothing he could offer and that she should see a psychiatrist. She spoke about the MRI results illustrating reasons for her pain and how her pain was not in her head. As I read this, I felt sad for this patient as I also have had a very similar experience. I've not been told it's in my head or that I should see a psychiatrist but I strongly feel that the communication between doctor and patient is not good. He doesn't appear interested in what the patient feels or understands how difficult it is to explain wide range pain throughout an area of the body. Very disappointing and hurtful.

After months of chiropractic care and physical therapy, I was referred to a neurosurgeon for extreme pain and very limited range of motion in my neck. I was referred to Dr. Doran and was initially pleased with his bedside manner and competency. However after two unsuccessful rounds of neck injections, I was told there’s nothing more he could offer. I literally pleaded for possible alternative treatments or even suggestions/referrals for other possible doctors or recommendations. I was told flat out there was “nothing he could offer” and that I should “see a psychiatrist!” My MRI clearly shows degenerative disc disease and my condition is NOT in my head! The pain is constant and I drive for a living, with extreme difficulty turning my head. I am in disbelief that a doctor would just turn me out and say there is nothing at all I can do to alleviate this life-altering pain, discomfort, and potential danger when driving!

Everyone at Dr. Doran’s office in Avon, Indiana is welcoming, pleasant and professional. They are truly concerned about the health and well-being of their patients. There was a glitch in the switch of my employer’s new insurance for 2022 and the ladies in the office took care of it so that I could make my appointment. I am very glad to be a new patient of Dr. Doran and Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine.

I would highly recommend Dr Doran and his staff. Highly competent and very friendly also. Will always try to answer any questions you may have.

Timely and professional

I came to Goodman Campbell upon the recommendation of both my doctors office and my physical therapist due to recurring back pain. Dr. Doran was my dr and recommend an injection which I had today. I feel better already and think this procedure will help me ease the pain that has kept me from exercising and other activities. He has such a genuinely kind and open manner and listened closely to my concerns. Not only that, he was interested in me as a person. Not necessary for him to be good at his job, but it sure made me feel I was in compassionate hands.

Everyone was very nice and courteous. My service was prompt and I was told step by step of everything going on during my procedure. Dr. Doran is as always very professional and makes sure that I am okay during and after the procedure.

Dr Doran was very reassuring and communicated well with me throughout the procedure. He was technically gifted getting the spinal needle into place despite my scoliosis and arthritis. I would confidently recommend him

Dr. Doran has been giving me cortisone injections for many years. I first had injections in my neck until my degenerative disc disease had progressed to the point of my needing a cervical disk fusion in two areas. He has been giving me Lumbar injections for quite awhile now! He came highly recommended to me by a friend that I worked with at Indiana Internal Medicine. I would not want to go to anyone else when it comes to my spine issues. I also have arthritis and bone Spurs in my lumbar spine area. He has kept me out of pain for multiple years and away from having to take any kind of drugs or having to have surgery through these injections! Today’s injections went very well just as they always have!

Dr. Doran is professional, a great listener, and plan maker. He does not rush and adjusts medical plan(care) as needed.

Office and staff very helpful and friendly

I have been seeing Dr. Doran for injections for my lower back. Very professional, yet friendly and always has the comfort of the patient in mind. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking relief from back pain. I am sure he treats other areas of pain, but I see him for my lower back.
