He was the best doctor I ever had and then he vanished

Dr. Demasi was rude in his approach. When I asked questions, he would respond in a derogatory way. I understand you have over 20 years of experience, which he mentioned multiple times, but if I ask a question you can answer it without being rude. Also, please do not rush an appointment I just spent 45 minutes waiting for.

Great, but I would like to know where he is now since leaving Summit Medical Group

I am a professional in a medical field and am therefore pretty picky about who I see. Dr. Demasi was the first doctor I've ever felt comfortable to give 5 stars to. Heck, I'd give more if I could. He always took the time to listen. I was saddened when the practice I saw him in was bought by Summit Medical as I know their corporate ways would not support Demasi's caring nature. Despite this he continued to give me excellent care and made the time to listen to me. I am shocked to see the negative reviews here and would bet my bottom dollar they resulted from intrusive corporate staff at Summit pressuring him to "hurry up."

Where is Dr Demasi going to practice?

I have been a patient of his for years. One of the things I like most about him is that he is a physician that listens! I have been in the medical field for many years and have worked with quite a few physicians. I have seen what it takes to be a caring medical provider especially in the midst of enormous medical groups that try to control how a doctor practices. I would recommend Doctor Demasi to anyone.

I have been a patient if Dr. Demasi for years — he is attentive, charming and knowledgeable. He has always been available and done the right thing for myself and my wife. I have read some of the negative reviews; I deal with the public in my profession and sometimes you just have to treat rude people rudely. Dr. Demasi is one of the nicest and most caring doctors I have ever had.

Really surprised to see the negative comments here. Dr. Demasi became my PCP after the relocation of my previous doctor to PA. I'm always apprehensive when visiting as sometimes for the sake of time and convenience, I'll go the employees health dept. at my job and will get a prescription. It's is therefore clear I've seen another doctor. Nevertheless, I've not experienced any indifferent treatment from Dr Demasi or the staff.

Ive never been so poorly treated by a doctor my entire life. The first thing he said when he entered was that I had only 10 Minutes to be with him, he refused to examine me when that was my primary purpose of the visit, and gave me attitude and even told me to leave! He was more concerned about getting me out of his office ASAP and I have never experienced anyone so rude in my entire life. Dealing with doctors like this one makes you truly lose faith in our health system.

Dr. Demasi was patient and thorough throughout my visit. He took the time to review all of my medical history and to hear out all of my concerns. He provided clear explanations and plans for my healthcare needs. His staff is very nice and accommodating and bloodwork is very conveniently drawn right in the same office.

He is horrible! My husband was seeking a new dr & has a few medical concerns. He never gave him a physical, never listened to his heart, or even order blood work. He hasn't had a good physical in 2 years & this dr insists he needs to speak to a therapist! He didn't want to listen to any of the reasons for his coming there & rolled his eyes often! We waited 4 weeks for this appt, seriously disappointed!! Waste of time & a copay!

Rude. Truly believes he's more important than you are. Horrendous bedside manner. Never again

Called doctor's office because needed to have a tetanus shot and was switching family doctors at the same time due to moving to Westfield. They wanted to give me an appointment in 2 weeks. Tetanus shot was needed due to an injury in the woods. Tetanus is not something you wait with for 2 weeks. Needless to say I am not switching to him.
