52 YEAR OLD WITH GENETIC HCM
WENT TO SEE DR. CENTAFONT ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND HE WAS PLEASANT AND KNOWLEDGABLE. HE DID A COMPLETE WORKUP AND FOUND NOTHING. MY TRIPONIN LEVELS WENT UP 2 YEARS AGO AND I WAS TRANSPORTED TO SOUTHEAST HOSPITAL, WHICH HE CAME IN TO SEE ME. HE WAS VERY RUDE AND TOLD ME 'I WILL NOT DO ANYMORE TESTING ON YOU, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR HEART'. NOW 2 YEARS LATER I HAVE A GENETIC CONDITION CALLED HCM - HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY CAUSING CHF WHICH MY MATERNAL AUNT DIED FROM IN HER 40'S. I USE UAB AND WILL NOT SEE DR. CENTAFONT AGAIN.

Simply stated...he saved my life.
Dr. CENTAFONT recognized a very dangerous condition; called in a surgeon and what was found was colon cancer. The surgery was successful, now cancer free, the the cancer eating my blood is gone..my heart is working great now that it has enough blood.Dr Centafont saved my life.

Very professional and knowledgeable staff
This was my first visit with Dr. Centafont and everyone in the office was extremely professional and friendly. Dr. Centafont explained every test he had ordered in depth with me. He is truly concerned about his patients and assured me he would find out what is going on with me. Yes, I have a medical background and I did ask some other physicians about Dr. Centafont before my appointment. No one had anything negative to say about him. Instead, they all said he was an amazing cardiologist and I must agree.

My hubby was referred to Dr. Centafont from a friend back in Dec 2018. Easy making an appt, dr listened to both of us over hubby's concerns. This is the first time a dr has spent over 30 mins in consultation with us. His heart was tested for A-fib to see how well/poorly his heart was operating in Dec 2018, which was at 22%. Over the next few months, Dr. changed 3 of his prescriptions (which no prior Drs in the Tallahassee area has EVER done). 4 months later, his heart is operating at 44%. Would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Centafont for anyone having cardiac problems.

I only met this doctor once when I went with my mom (in her 80s) to her appointment. Not at all impressed! Very arrogant doctor who would not listen to her and was not concerned that “his medication” was causing her great suffering and would have ended up killing her. He got very snappy when she asked for the medicine to be decreased in order to see if the side affects would improve. He is no longer her doctor.

Dr Centafont is the only heart Doctor that has attended me, but I am very satisfied with his procedures. He takes all the time he needs to explain my condition and offer advice. I'm doing much better since being under his care.
