Quality Care
I’m a senior with multiple healthcare issues.Dr. Burress provides high quality care in an efficient and professional environment. I feel that he listens to my concerns, provides advice and treatment in a caring and courteous manner. I believe he allows an adequate amount of time per patient and I do not feel my visits are rushed. I do prepare for my visits in advance and write down my questions and concerns prior to my appointment. Appointments are usually on schedule or near the scheduled time. I respect their time and schedule and feel my time and schedule are respected by them.Dr. Burress is friendly but he is also busy.I’ve found that they do an adequate amount of lab work to monitor and treat my conditions but it’s not overly done, driving up the cost of my visit.I have been a patient for about 3 years.

Very knowledgeable doctor. I have seen other reviews saying that people have to wait a while. I totally understand that frustration, but I have went to several other doctors (not to mention: hair stylists, car maintenance, bank appointments, nail salons, grocery store lines, etc) and had to wait a long period of time. I never really know why I have to wait so long for appointments.... Except at this office I see why. The reason it takes a while sometimes, is simply because the provider takes his time and listens to you, as a patient. Most people are hurry hurry, but Dr Burress stays and listens to your issues and then talks them over with you and helps you to understand in simple terms. You don't feel rushed and I am happy and content when I leave. Other places I left with more questions than when I came. It is nice to have a Doctor that actually cares.

Dr. Burress and his team are fantastic! He has been a long time provider for my children (17, 16, 8, & 3) and has never been anything other than amazing. His bedside manner is amazing. I'm talking about a doctor that listens, consults in depth his thoughts on health, and takes the utmost care & concern for his patients. Tammy is amazing at what she does to keep the office running! I would highly recommend considering this clinic for your needs from pediatric to geriatric.

As I was notified that the first available new patient appointment is not until August, I feel compelled to share my experience. I scheduled seven WEEKS ago for a new patient appointment for my daughter. We showed up today on time and waited. After 70 minutes (30 of which we were the only ones waiting), I asked how long it would be. We had been overlooked in the waiting room and they had gone to lunch because they didn't even check. I would go somewhere else. This was our first appointment.

We absolutely adored Dr. Burress. He's a very sweet man, social with the adults, respectful, not condescending, friendly. He obviously loves his job - all the rooms are themed. The waiting room has a giant pirate ship play house/jungle gym thing for the kids, and the exam rooms are jungle themed and Dr. Seuss themed. He is the only doctor I know of that still does house calls. He also accepts walk-ins, so he is pretty much always available. We only left because we moved away.

I Over a year ago,I was having some back problems My then doctor acted like he was going to help me so he referred me to a sports medicine clinic and after taking Xrays I was handed a script that had written on it. Refer to Chiropractor and was told when my insurance company called me with the name of a chiropractor to give the Sports medicine clinic a call and I was ignored and left standing in the hall. I was devastated to say the least. So I got rid of my PCP and went to Dr Burress.

He seems like he's a decent dr, but my husband and I are not ok with the current immunization schedule for personal, close to home reasons. The whole time I was in the examination room with my 4 month old, he berated me about this! He was very pushy and asked multiple times if I was going to get him vaccinated. How he even managed to listen to his lungs is beyond me. If your a parent like me go see Dr. Mary McNeal in Dickson.
