Not only is Dr.Bogaev the patient's favorite dr. Of all time, doctors all around San Antonio have said that he is the absolute best. They have nicknamed him St. Bogaev! If they needed a neurosurgeon, they say they wouldn't let anyone touch them but him!

This guy is amazing. His staff was great. Extremely smart guy. Within one month, he reviewed my records, got me on his calendar, his staff took care of my entire planning. He explained everything to me. Day of surgery, he got in there and took care of business (I had a growth on my pituitary gland). Surgery was through the nasal cavity. Recovery was great. I was out of the hospital the day after the surgery. Crazy.

Dr Bogaev has been monitoring a tumor I’ve had for the last several years. He is kind and always explains and shows me what’s going on. I saw his Nurse Practitioner at my last checkup and he was very kind and helpful as well. I feel like I’m in a the BEST place if I should ever need to have that tumor removed.

I was going blind, couldn’t walk straight and seeing double. Then I met Dr. Bogaev. He got rid of my tumor and my life is better than before. Thank you for giving me my life back. I love you Dr. You’re the best!

Dr Bogaev shows genuine concern and care. He’s a good one!I’ll never forget his cheery voice when he would come to check on me in the hospital. I also always look forward to my office visits with him. He takes time and answers my questions and he also has his own set of questions that we talk about.

2012, performed surgery to remove tumor from my pituitary gland. Surgery was complete without a hitch. He explained everything prior too and post care. Amazing nurse although extremely professional. When I ask him how many of these surgeries had he done considering the rarity of the tumor, he started, 'you'd be my first'. I am sure my eyes got big but my partner knew he was playing. Then he proceeded to tell me about his experience. There's nothing bad about how I treated throughout the whole process.

At age 86, Dr. Chris Bogaev removed a baseball- size glioma tumor in April, 2022. The surgery was completely successful due to his tremendous, God-given surgical skills and his excellent surgical staff. Dr. Bogaev greets you each and every time with such a caring, compassionate, uplifting and pleasant spirit. He treats your family and you as though you are part of his own personal family. I highly recommend him!!!

Saved my life. Only does brain tumors.

Dr Bogaev operated on me in 2005 for syringomyelia/chiari malformation. The surgery only lasted about ninety minutes, but he did a fantastic job. He is probably the best doctor I've ever met -- skilled, compassionate, and outstanding at what he does. One of the best neurosurgeons in Texas.

This doctor is the BEST neurosurgeon in San Antonio. I have know him since 2014 when he did my surgery. Always so friendly so easy to talk to. Staff is the same. Always makes you feel great and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him,

I had MVD surgery with Dr. Bogaev after suffering with Trigeminal Neuralgia for 8 years. The operation was a complete success. I had an easy recovery and am completely off my meds. Dr. Bogaev removed a tumor on my husband's brain that had developed as a result of hyper-aggressive, metastatic prostate cancer. While he survived the surgery, my husband passed away shortly thereafter due to irreversible brain damage caused by the tumor. Through it all, Dr. Bogaev explained thoughtfully and patiently everything that was happening. His compassion, forthrightness, and genuineness was unlike anything I've ever experienced dealing with any other doctor.

Dr. Bogaev operated on my husband in 2000. Dr. Bogaev was 34 yrs old at the time. The surgery lasted approx. 26 hrs. Dr Bogaev never left the operating room he never left my husbands side.
