Did fusing of L-3, L-4, and L-5. Straightened L-3 so that it impinges on L-2 and the femoral nerve, causing tremendous pain in the sartorius muscle. The comment? Sometimes that happens.

I had a scoliosis surgery with Dr. Bergin one month ago. It has been a huge surgery from a neck to a pelvis. Dr. Bergin did an excellent job. In 2 weeks my surgery scar was healed. In 3 weeks I could walk already without walker. In one month I almost stopped taking all pain medications.

Dr Bergin did my disc replacement surgery. I still have pain to this day. I’m blown every time I mention this. I’ve been out of work for two years collecting half of my paycheck. I sued the car insurance company for damages, and dr Bergins office is so greedy, they refused to put my claim through my really good insurance at the time. The hospital was paid, however the office instead wanted to wait for a windfall I won’t be getting. When I try to let them know, they’re dismissive and don’t care to be taking what little, if anything I get. Don’t go here. Not worth the headache and stress for a dr who doesn’t seem to care.

Dr, Bergin did my spinal fusion surgery back in 2013 and it was the best decision ever. Once I healed from the surgery I have not had any back pain.

I had him put a Shock Absorber in my C6 C7 and he couldn't even come up to my room and check on me. Also, for him to throw Doctor Spencer under the bus while we were getting geared up for surgery really pissed me off!!! Anyway i wouldn't recommend this Doctor to do anything on me ever again...

I saw chris bergin twice. Both times he was professional. A bit rough around the edges but overall I was pleased with the time he spent with me without making me feel he had to rush to get to his next patient. That said, my reason for seeing bergin was for a complex spinal revision. He said he could "fix" me but with no guarantees. Since 2013, I've have 10 major surgeries; 6-7 on my spine and back. So this was daunting to say the least and I was extremely apprehensive to begin with. However, I decided to perform the surgery and scheduled surgery for 11-21-16. However, and this had never happened to me prior to a surgery, 10 days or so before the surgery I developed SEVERE anxiety, crying fits, loss of sleep, loss of appetite, nausea, and even vomiting. I labored over the surgery to the point I became paralyzed in fear. I called bergin on Saturday, 11-19, two days prior to surgery to hear his voice, console me and offer words of encouragement. Well, he did what he thought was his best

Dr. Bergin is the worst Dr. I have ever been referred to. He is arrogant, has poor mannerisms, and a total jerk!

Horrible experience!!!! I had to habe a 2nd surgery 2 weeks after a discectomy for a large fluid leak that he kept blowing off my concerns. I've had numbness oain and falling since. I will have my 3rd back surgery in less than 1 and 1/2 years so they can fix his work. Very hands off and his partner was as rude as could be when he was covering Dr Bergin when I was in the hospital. He actually forgot he had to round and I got an extra hospital day.

Horrible experience. Lumbar surgery done on my husband, surgical drain tube fell out, never replaced, 2 weeks later second surgery to remove hematoma. Sent him home without pain meds. after 1st surgery. Placed straight rods in spine and now has to have another surgery due to his spasms, chronic pain and inability to stand, walk or sit for any length of time

I went to see him last week for a consultation and he immediately put my mind at ease with his thoughtful grounded approach. He quickly read the intricacies of the MRI and recommended a non operative approach based on my symptoms even though I had a big herniation in the MRI. I felt he puts the patient first. He does have a sense of humor that may not work for everyone but I found his approach compassionate and well rounded. If I need surgery, he would be my go to.

Today was the first time I met Dr. Bergin. His first question to me was why was I there. Then I told him that I was referred to him and all about my pain and issues and bulging discs. He took one look at my MRI and said well the good news for you is that you don't need surgery, but that is bad news for my kid's college bank accounts. I was very offended and felt like I wasn't welcomed and at the end of the appointment I asked him what I should do and he said yoga. What a joke!
