I’m glad I found her!
My primary care doctor ordered a procedure that I was VERY anxious about. I found Oakdale OBGYN and got an appointment with Dr. Sarkinen within a few weeks. I looked her up online and felt relieved because she had multiple 5 star reviews. She sounded like the kind of provider I needed for this - caring and understanding. When I made the appointment I told them that I had a lot of anxiety about it and that I didn’t do well with that kind of thing - and they didn’t balk or condescend. In fact, they actually ordered some medicine I could take before the procedure that really helped with the anxiety and pain. Dr. Sarkinen made me feel at ease, both with the education and information she provided and how she went about the procedure. And she was just a nice person who treated me with respect and dignity. I highly recommend Dr. Sarkinen and her practice. And I recommend always advocating for yourself by sharing your concerns - they seem very understanding and compassionate.

Wonderful provider, wonderful person
Dr. Sarkinen treated me like I was an old friend. She explained why it was good to have one last Pap smear before going on Medicare. She is knowledgeable, warm and personable and exudes trust!

Down to Earth!
Dr. Sarkinen is easy to discuss those weird symptoms that happen in all stages from pre-natal to menopause. I have been at Oakdale for 20 years and she is by far my favorite provider. She has compassion in spades and provides knowledge in a non-judgmental setting. I only wish she could be my primary doctor as well. Highly recommend!

I started going to Dr. Sarkinen shortly after she joined Oakdale OB/GYN. She’s experienced, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients! Christine is not only a fantastic Doctor, she’s an amazing person! I highly recommend her.

Dr. Sarkinen has been my doctor your a number of years and she is awesome. She makes me feel comfortable and her quick wit and genuine caring and bedside manner makes her the best in her field. There aren't alot of doctors with those qualities left. She cares about her patients needs and takes care of them without judgement.
