Dr. Christine Powell, MD

Dr Powell is an amazing Dr. I truly can’t say enough about her. She is professional very caring, and she really listens and explains things very well. She is very understanding and compassionate. By far the best Dr. I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I’m transgender and the level of respect and professionalism she has is I believe ( unmatched.) I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I do have a complaint on how UT health has an answering service. there needs to be a way to reach Dr. Powell or at least her staff by phone instead of going through an answering service. The way this is set up is a joke. But Dr.Powell is truly amazing. This is not her problem jut UT Healths problem and it needs to be fixed it is so difficult to get ahold of Dr. Powell because of this service and the reason five stars were chosen were solely because of Dr. Powell not UT Health at all.

We kept Dr. Powell as family physician for more than a decade by now and never had problems at all. She is always friendly, patient, and professional, and ready to answer all questions that we may have. This visit was also a great experience. With doctor Powell, we can talk freely about any health related concerns, and she explains everything clearly and patiently. This time she also showed me how to use one of the meds she was recommending to me... I truly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a family doctor. Thank you Dr. Powell!

I needed to re-establish with a PCP and wanted to try Dr. Powell because I’d heard that her patients really like her. I had a great first visit. She addressed all of my concerns and came up with a plan that I can follow. Thank you for your care and concern for my health??

Dr. Powell and her staff are always helpful and proactive in taking care of our family. She is not only knowledgeable about our health needs and proactively order test or screening examination, but also knowledgeable about our health insurance requirements and pre-authorization procedure to proactively file preauthorization from her end to save our time. This is the reason that we are under her wings for the last 15 years!

I was treated with true respect. I was made to feel comfortable. I was talked to, not talked at, or down to. She gave me options. She let me have a say in my treatment course. She truly understands transgendered people. This is very important to me. I can't say Thank You enough to Dr. Powell, and the nurse, and even the young lady at the reception desk. To All Thank You So, So, Much.

Dr. Powell is amazing! She is patient and kind and truly listens and cares. Even when she wasn’t on my insurance plan, I paid cash to see her. She is the only doctor I will see.

Staff and nurses were excellent as usual. Dr. Powell is a top notch physician. Despite the number of patients she has scheduled, she is always both thorough and compassionate. I would highly recommend her for her professionalism and empathy.

Dr. Powell has been my MD for over 10 years plus and has always go over and above to help me in my needs. The last year and half has been very hard and traumatic she has been there every step of the way along with her staff and is still working with me thank you for everything you do.

Dr Powell has been my PCP since I moved to Tyler area. She has been amazing and has continued as my Dr even when I had insurance problems due to the marketplace. I highly recommend her.

She is not afraid to spend time with you and answer your questions. She also will talk to about different things that are going on in your life that you are dealing with. I would trade her for another Dr. I have 100% trust in her.
