Wonderful provider
Dr. Nix has been a wonderful provider for my two children for the past 5 years. She is professional yet aims to put parents at ease when it comes caring for their children. Being a mother herself, I always feel as though she is giving the most up to date advise. We always look forward to our appointments with her!

Not connected to patient needs
Was quick to put my daughter on meds when not needed. Was quick to judge and tell me ( the parent) how to raise my child. Totally crossed the line. Advice to have more compassion and listen to your patients versus rushing to prescribe.

Compassionate Care
All 3 of my kids see Dr. Nix. She’s very kind and does a great job answering all of my questions. She has her patients best interest at heart and I appreciate her compassion for all of my children.

Does not care about patients. I brought my baby to be seen for a well child checkup and since we checked in at the wrong desk we were 2 minutes past their cutoff when we got to the right desk so the doctor decides whether you can be seen or not. I was told Dr. Nix was still in with the patient scheduled before us but still refused to see my baby even though we would have been waiting for her regardless of what time we showed up. She was told my baby needed vaccines and they were already a month behind because they wouldn’t schedule an appt any sooner. She did not care because she had lunch next and didn’t want to be late for that. I know personally that other physicians at IU Health see patients an hour late so this just shows you the kind of character she has. Turning away post partum moms at risk for depression is one of the worst things you can for their mental health. She should be ashamed.
