Lost my trust
I was a patient of Dr. Gale (Ft. Sanders- Generations OBGYN) for many years. 17y-28y old. I had two IUD placements with her. She did not give me any pain medicine, relaxant or numbing. I haven never had children therefore the pain with my cervix led me to almost pass out. She left me in the room while I cried in pain and just had the thin paper sheet over me. I had to call my boyfriend at the time to leave work and come and take me home. She dismissed my pain as anxiety and basically I was over reacting. I laid in the room for nearly an hour before they wheeled me out to the car in a wheelchair. I never received any follow up communication by the staff regarding how I recovered. I lost my trust and respect for her after that visit. I switched to another MD in the practice. Dr. Gale was also dismissive of my request for tubal ligaton because I was not married and she kept saying I would change my mind and to think about what my future husband would want.

Dr. Gale was extremely personable, taking time to listen to me as a patient-- asking questions to learn about my lifestyle and habits in a way that felt more conversational than a check-list. She was thorough in explanations, and I felt very comfortable asking what might have felt like silly questions. She was also very attentive to my concerns when describing a plan of action. She explained every option clearly and made herself available for reaching out post-visit. This new patient will definitely continue seeing Dr. Gale.

I really like Dr. Gale. She's always very kind and explains things very well. The only thing that would keep me from recommending her or considering changing is the fact that I have never received a paper bill from this office. I ALWAYS have to call and ask for my billing information and pay by phone (something I despise doing). The only time I have had a question on the phone the nurse seemed to write me off and basically treated me like an imbecile.
