Stay FAR Away

If I could give a zero I would. She has no compassion for her patients. You cant really call anyone who sees her a patient because she spends 5 seconds talking to you on a computer screen in a completely authoritarian demeaning manner and then sends you on your way to be treated like you’re not a person at this facility she apparently manages. During a stay I had she told me I will keep you in here as long as I feel like it. If you care about your loved ones keep them FAR away from her. It will save you heartache and money.

During COVID19 ...May 2020
Dr. Lynn decided to give me 4 shots in 2 days of medication I'm allergic to. She and the staff tied me in an office chair for NINE DAYS.May, June & July 2020 she maxed out my insurance and just about destroyed my life.I hope I NEVER see her or her staff for the rest if my life!!

life saving experience
I would say that she and the program at Grand Strand saved my life. I was dealing with many stressors and I did not feel I could go on in life. Dr Lynn was very compassionate and understanding and willing to just sit and talk me through the problems. She did not force me to start medication, but rather allowed me to help decide if medication was right for me. I wish more physicians would take the time she does with her patients. I highly recommend the programs at Grand Strand

Probably saved my life
She is direct, and can be harsh as others have said, but I felt that was how to get to the real me. I'm over a year later and rarely have mental health incidents, and when it happens it's minor. She worked with me for a couple months to find the right mixture of therapy and medication that was beneficial to me. The best and most compassionate (in the long run) I have ever seen. And I've seen dozens.

I was a patient in early 2020. Dr. Lynn diagnosed me with 4 different mental illnesses and never told me. I had to find the information from my medical notes. I was never educated on my own mood disorders and didn’t learn how to properly cope. I was just told how to cope in a group setting for general people. I was also taken off my anxiety medication and given medication that didn’t help. I even had panic attacks during my therapy sessions and was simply told to deal with it. Now that I’ve found a compassionate provider, I feel much more stable. When I was her patient, I never felt myself stabilize and even got worse because I knew that asking for help would just get snippy comments. I’ve been quite wary of mental health specialists since having her at South Strand.

SHE WAS SO RUDE SHE MADE ME WISH I WAS DEAD AND PUT ME ON MEDS I TOOK 30 YEARS AGO AND I FOUGHT MY OWN BODY ALL DAY AND NIGHT WITH EXTRAPYRMIDAL SYMPTOMS. I was post op spinal surgery. One of the most compassionate physicians that I have had. Took time to listen and work with me and my family to find the best possible plan. Really knows her medicine not just psychiatric medications.

Dr. Lynn is very direct and sometimes harsh when speaking to her patients, even younger ones. She quickly picks her diagnosis and is not clear on the level of severity or even presence of a condition. She told me I had a disorder, and later told my mother that I did not when my mother called concerned about the way she handled my appointment. She was quick to apologize to my mother, but I will not be going back.
