Great Doctor and is thorough
Dr Shah has a good disposition and he sure knows hands well! have seen him couple of times and my husband has seen him as well. By following his directions I was able to decrease my pain and avoid a surgery. He answered my questions about surgery and when one might be needed if at all. I compiled a list of questions prior to my appointment and it was very helpful so that I didn't leave with any questions unanswered. I am grateful for his kind manner and excellent care.

Fabulous doctor.
Dr. Shah and his staff were friendly and knowledgeable. He doesn't spend a lot of time with informal chatting but he will take time to carefully answer your questions and concerns. I had surgery with him for trigger finger and had an excellent outcome with great follow up.

I felt rushed and not heard. He looked at my x-rays and determined nothing was wrong and dismissed everything I told him about the pain I'm having and literally scurried me out of the office in the most polite way possible. The only information I did receive was based on my questions to him. There wasn't any voluntary info or insight on his behalf. I researched to find him on my own and thought I would be in good hands. The staff was polite enough. No one was outright rude, but I cannot say they have good bedside manner either. The X-Ray tech kept yanking and grabbing my arm to get the pics he needed with no regard to how much pain I was in as he was doing this.

Dr Shah diagnosed my soft tissue mass issue in my right thumb quickly. I had already had an ultrasound and he didn’t want to waste my money on an MRI. He has a no nonsense approach that I found refreshing. His staff was able to schedule me relatively quickly. The surgical procedure went exactly as described. Healing now and prognosis remains positive. Highly recommend Dr Shah for hand surgery.

If you want to see a doctor who doesn't listen to you, who has a one-size-fits-all approach, who dismisses your experience, and is highly judgemental of alternative modalities (for something as basic as sports massage), then this is the doctor for you! If you don't fit neatly into Shah's box, then you can expect to be written off in a wonderfully patronizing way. Also: 2 out of my 3 appointments were cancelled and rescheduled to accommodate his vacation plans. Seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Shah was unable to help me so I am getting a second opinion. Although I believe he explained my condition well, he was less than sympathetic and I found it hard to believe that my options are as limited as he claims. On top of it, I paid my co-pays for both office visits (totaling $90), during which he did nothing beyond review my symptoms and the radiologist's report, and yet I am still being charged a percentage of the $1,600 (yes you read that right) that he charged for those said visits.

I found the entire experience of my first time visit to Dr. Shah to be a very positive one. His staff, both in person and on the phone, have been very pleasant and worked to accommodate my schedule in booking both my initial and follow-up appointments. The doctor took me right at the scheduled time, which I felt was very respectful of both his time and mine. He first spent time listening to my situation, then asked questions, ran a few very efficient diagnostics, and treated me on the spot.

Dr. Shah walked me through my carpal tunnel diagnosis and spent ample time with me throughout the year as I worked on non-surgical methods to ease nerve pressure. Ultimately, I needed to go through with the release surgery. Dr. Shah was sure I felt confident going into the surgery, and talked me through what my recovery would look like. He is an excellent physician and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Shah was excellent. I saw him twice concerning a wrist problem after an injury. Over the past decade I had been to Northwestern twice, with different doctors, and had not been that pleased. I decided to give NW one more chance. This time I saw Dr. Shah and he listened well, explained everything clearly, asked if I had any questions, responded clearly to everything I asked, and was very friendly. Plus, both times he treated his interns well as colleagues which I respect. Love this guy.

Dr. Shah could not have gotten me out of the room faster shook his leg the entire time and spoke like a cattle auctioneer. Dr. Shah condescending, did not allow me to ask questions, did not explain potential causes of the issue, nor would he elaborate except when prodded. He referred me to get a test done and then got snappy with me when I asked about details of the test (like what exactly they were looking for). The bedside manner of this man needs improvement. I was in and out in only 7 mins..
