Competence questions....
For four years I have had severe post cholecystectomy stomach pain attacks. Despite multiple attempts to get to the bottom of the issue, I leave every appt feeling like I am not believed or the problem is a fault of my lifestyle. I am tired of getting nowhere and continuing to suffer.

Not a happy patient
I was referred to Dr Cox by my primary. I've had ongoing gastrointestinal issues for over a year but with covid and such, it was difficult to get treatment. After ending up in the ER on multiple occasions and two CTs, I finally get in to see the doctor and I end up with a nurse practioner with a terrible attitude problem. She asked me very few questions. She was argumentative when i tried to explain my symptoms and ask questions about my imaging results. Told me to call them next I have an episode. So I can go to the ER and spend another $300. No discussion of diet. Of what foods I was having issues with. Just take some fiber and come back in six months. I will never go back to this practice

Dr. Cox was very attentive and listened to my concerns. Before the test, she explained what she was looking for because of my reflux symptoms. After the procedure Dr Cox spent the time describing what she found. She followed up when the pathology results were mailed. I will go back for my screening colonoscopy. I highly recommend her!

I had a colonoscopy at the Charleston Surgery Center performed by Dr Cox. She was very easy to talk with and reassuring. The facility was very clean and staff were very courteous. Information shared regarding the findings following the procedure with my husband and me. Overall the experience with the staff and Dr. Cox was comfortable and I would recommend her to others.

She had a couple of tests done on me.After the last test she said"Make your follow up appt. in 3 months." I did. When I went to her office I was not seen by her but by the Nurse who saw my chart& informed me that the test had shown my esophagus and stomach were inflamed at the time of the test!My weight had gone from 125to146 due to water retention caused by infection! I had to go to ER & was in very bad shape!I had infections in my ears, throat&stomach. He gave me STRONG meds.& I am not well yet

She listened to me explain the difficulties I had been having for almost a year. I had been to other doctors, but none of them took me seriously. She finally discovered what my problem was by doing a colonoscopy on me. What a relief!!!! She prescribed the right medicine for me and I am doing so much better now.
