Knowledgeable Compassionate Resouceful
Dr. Elfenbein’s expertise in the area of nutritional mental health has been enormously helpful to me. This along with her knowledge of hormones and mental health has helped me to taper my medication and feel really good.

Much improved
Dr E is super smart and kind. With her approach and availability my anxiety and depression are much diminished. The addition of vitamins and supplements made a huge difference

Horrible
Absolutely do not call this doctor. I was transferring from a doctor in NYC due to CoVid allowances changing. Legitimately hung up on me mid-sentence. Explained my history and quickly made me feel belittled about my diagnosis. I absolutely do not recommend even reaching out.

Cannot recommend her enough! She gets to the ROOT CAUSE of your symptoms. I saw Dr. Elfenbein in 2018 for depression and anxiety. I was in pretty bad shape and didn't understand why my physical and mental health were both deteriorating. She listened and ordered blood tests and a micronutrient panel, then recommended some excellent supplements which I still take today. She also recommended I see a gut doctor before trying prescription anti-depressants. This was a game changer. I went from being severely ill and depressed to highly functional and serene. Thank you Dr. Elfenbein! :-)

Makes you feel like you are the problem when you aren't doing better. Took 3 PRETTY EXPENSIVE appointments for her to even prescribe me something. Then she gave me a list of meds and asked me which one I wanted to try. How can I choose a med for myself? What am I playing her for? She cuts her appointments short whenever she can with some lame excuse so you're not getting your money's worth for sure.

I saw Dr. Elfenbein for 2 years, and i can truly say i would not be in the state of health and mental health i am now without her. Her integrative approach was key to my care, the time she took with me was invaluable. she was caring, kind, and offered sage guidance and support in addressing the depression i experienced. more importantly, she did what few psychiatrists are equipped to do- helped me successfully come off of the medication, with a minimum of difficulty. I would whole-heartedly encourage anyone to seek her out- she is a true partner and expert in the field.

Very disappointed with Dr. Elfenbein. She gave me some great hints for supplements and seemed caring - but I felt worse and had less trust after a handful of visits.

No way is it 5 stars! She charged me close to $400 for my 1st appointment, which involved her shuffling through papers. During my 2nd appointment, she charged $250 and spent it asking me which meds I would like try. How would I know? I'm the patient! She cut my session short because she had something important to attend to. When I walked out to my car, I saw her come out and stand in the parking lot talking and laughing with someone for a while. Meds were wrong for me and no good advice either!
