Dr. Cheri Mys, DO

Dr Mys is a very intelligent, caring for your health kind of doctor. A factual doctor won't play games with people just seeking drugs. You will either love her or hate her. But when you get to know her you will see she is there to help you!

i absolutely LOVE Dr. Mys. After my primary physician of 30 years retired, I bounced around from dr. to dr. for about 3 years until I found Dr. Mys and I am so grateful I did! She really LISTENS to her patients, has a no nonsense approach (which I 100% appreciate) and she always makes me feel comfortable. She explains everything and offers ample opportunity for me to ask questions. The staff are always pleasant and cheerful too, which makes the whole experience a positive one. I would HIGHLY recommend her if you are looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and experienced physician.

I found Dr. Mys to be argumentative, disrespectful and angry to have her hands tied (her words) in regards to medications recommended by my cardiologist, the one she recommended! Dr. Mys has no bed side manner what so ever and I felt beat up by her after all three visits this year.

first I must start with my inability to trust and my past unwillingness to address what is going on with my own health, in short I am what one might call a difficult patient … That being said, Dr. Mys has taken a tough love approach with me which I did not like at first, but two years later, I am listening and look forward to her knowledge and expertise to get me back on track with my health. I did have to bring a friend who could tell me when to quit arguing and start listening.. I am listening and doing what she suggests, my 3rd visit is just around the corner and I am feeling better about trusting her to be my primary care doctor. I am thankful she didn't kick me out of her office, instead she kept on until I could hear her.. thank you Dr. Mys

Dr. Mys was caring and compassionate. She explained my options thoroughly and told me what she would recommend and why. I left her office feeling that I had a good exam and a good understanding of what was wrong and what we will do to correct it.

I have been going to Dr. Mys for several years and have received excellent care. I read some of the derogatory reviews before I went to her and I see they are still coming. They all sound the same and I disagree. You should know Dr. Mys does not prescribe narcotics. Perhaps that is the basis for these bad reviews or a vindictive ex husband.

Really love the fact that she really cares for her patients and she takes her times and is thorough .

Staff and dr always available and helpful and work as a team with me and my medical problems

Dr. Mys has went above and beyond to make sure my mother is taken care of. She is patient, understanding, caring and kind. Dr. Mys is a true asset to Genesys. Please relay this to her VP if possible I cannot thank her enough.

Dr Mys is a wonderful Dr. Would recommend her hands down.

Went for my initial visit today with Dr. Mys and was extremely satisfied. She is very kind and compassionate and immediately made me feel comfortable. Her office staff was very friendly and know how to get things done. I believe I have finally found my new PCP and feel she is knowledgeable and able to address all of my needs.

Dr. Mys was covering for another Doctor in the hospital and was quick to respond and extremely helpful-thanks!

Dr Mys has been my doctor for 15 years. She has always taken excellent care of me and I would definitely recommend her.

I changed Doctors after she was the rounds doctor while I had a hospital stay for a week. I felt she was very concerned with my Heath. Never in a hurry..spends time listening. I like her a lot.

Fair Warning ! This "Doctor" is in my humble opinion should have stayed a pharmacist with Rite Aid counting pills and dispensing topical creams. When I fired her after a second opinion with a real "Doctor", her parting shot was to duplicate my medical records twice and charge me accordingly. Oh, and if you need any documentation to return to work forget it. She will start talking liabilities and scams. lol Anyway, You`ve been warned Regards Ron

I have been in to see the Dr. Mys multiple times through out the years and stayed with her for the convenience of keeping my family together and all with one doctor. But, I have to say that to get any kind of feed back or communication from her office is worse than pulling teeth. The frustration? that builds up to find out about test results, making appointments and follow up are almost worse than some of the visits themselves. I suggest researching her before visiting her

I went in because my knee starts to hurt when I walk for a long time, she told me there was nothing wrong. I met with another doctor to get a second opinion and they actually did more than ask me questions about it than tell me everything's okay like "Doctor" Mys does. My spine is swollen and that is causing problems in my knees. (I cant walk without being in pain) and she told me she will not give me a referral to see someone who can correct this because it's not "not her job"

Ms Mys is not someone that I would recommend. My children and I were in her care for approximately 11 years. We stopped seeing her 2 years ago out of sheer frustration. I went to her on the recommendation of a mutual friend. What a mistake! Her treatments were ineffective. She takes several appts. to do something that should take one or two visits. She was neglectful of my daugter's immunizations that I only recently was made aware of. My 18 year old had to have 6 shots at once to catch up.

She came into my room without introducing herself, sat on her computer for no less than 10 mins working on 2 problems at once from earlier in the day before talking to me about my symptoms. She was short and rude with me. After evaluation I asked what she thought I had, and she said beats me. And shrugged.
