I took my 18 year old daughter to see Dr. Wiley for her first well woman exam. It's 100% covered by insurance, so we weren't expecting to pay anything. At the end of the visit, Dr. Wiley asked me to step out of the room so she could talk "woman to woman" with my daughter. While I was away, Dr. Wiley convinced my daughter to do a battery of extra tests and the surprise bill is $900. Blue Cross Blue Shield says none of it is medically necessary. What's worse, I told Dr. Wiley that we would get my daughter's well-woman labs done at Quest, but she convinced us to do it in her lab, saying how much easier and faster it would be for her to get the results. $900 later... At Quest, these tests would have been around $90. She also told us that adapalene is an antibiotic, when in fact it's a retinoid. And she forgot that my daughter had mono and overreacted to lab results that were actually consistent with her condition.

No personal follow up after office visit as in previous years No General Medical Evaluation received. Lab results received only after 3 requests. No explanation of an abnormal result. Prescription renewed although I discontinued use because I did not digest it.

Excellent doctor. Takes enough time with you. Answers questions clearly, asks all the right questions. You can sense that she cares and practices to help people, not looking for their insurance paycheck.

She was through going over my paperwork. She has excellent communication skills....I felt she listened to my concerns and gave me feedback. There was an office emergency upon my arrival and my appointment was a bit delayed and she apologized for that which meant a lot to me as you usually don't get that out of doctors...she values the patient time and her time as well!
