Discharged my husband without helping him
Dr Hughes discharged my husband from er observation saying there was nothing she could do for him. He is wasting away due to the fact that he is in too much pain and cannot eat due to TMJ. He was offered a feeding tube. Turns out there are many things that could have been done. He could have been given corticosteroids to reduce the inflammation which could have eased his pain. He could have been given an oral lidocaine that could numb his throat so maybe he could swallow without pain. They could have even taken his tonsils out so he could swallow without pain. I wish she would have asked the right questions or consulted someone more knowledgeable. Please do not send someone home to starve to death in pain without doing all that you can to help. Treat your patients with the kindness and compassion that you would if it was one of your loved ones suffering, what wouldn't you do for them. My wish in writing this review is that this young dr will learn to do better .
