Dr. Charles Higgins, MD

As soon as he walked into the room, he was more interested in arguing than providing actual care. He did nothing for me, and I should have called the medical waste hotline for receiving no help and being billed to have him sit there and argue.

I’ve seen Dr. Higgins for years. I’ve had a really good experience with him as my psychiatrist. He always asks how my family is and how I’m doing. If I’m doing well on my medicine he does not try to change it. If I want a change he lets me, and if I want to go back to what I was taking he let’s me. Just don’t not show up. Call to cancel if you need to. There is a big charge for no shows and not a lot of warning that the appointment time is coming up. An updated way to remind would be helpful.

I was congratulated on being closer to death because of a doctors prescriptions for my health. He shouted congratulations. I’ve never seen an actual train fed physician go out of their way to make a patient feel more uncomfortable and feel psychologically worse having gone in for a visit. Let me reiterate that for you. If you are going to a psychiatrist for psychiatric help then understand that this psychiatrist will make your psychiatric health worse. You’re a number. It’s a psychiatric pill mill and nothing more. Everything is your fault. You’re inferior for your mental health.

This is the 2nd time seeing him. I’ve been a student at legacy for a couple of years now. When the provider I was seeing all that time was not there anymore, I had my first meeting with dr Higgins. I didn’t get a good vibe then. I went in today for my 2nd meeting with him. He upset me so unbelievably (not due to my issues) and was so rude and non-caring. Didn’t want not gave me the time to even explain how things are going. He pretty much re-wrote my scripts and dismissed me. Needless to say I’ve requested another doctor for my next visit. I don’t understand how people’s reviews are even close to acceptable. I left there hysterical. I will NEVER see him again

Front desk - Candace It takes a lot for someone to reach out for help, especially when they are in the medical field themselves. The receptionist is rude, incredibly fake, and doesn't seem compassionate towards people who are having mental health issues and i can tell that from just a short phone call. I can say that if I was suicidal or having a crisis, she would be the last person i would want to speak to. Please consider hiring someone who doesnt talk down to your patients.

Their website advertises compassionate care; however, this doctor is anything but compassionate. Only spends about 5 minutes with my son at his appointments and acts as if he cannot wait for us to leave.

Very unprofessional! Did not introduce himself upon meeting me. Asked me two questions during what will be my first and only visit. When asking one of the two he didn't even look up from his papers he was scribbling on the entire time. Most of the ten minutes of appointment was in silence while he was writing. He couldn't have cared less and it showed. I have never been treated that way by a healthcare professional. I am an RN myself. Please don't waste your time and money.
