Very clear in surgery explanation
Dr. Gottlob was very easy to talk to. He answered questions well, with examples I understood. He made me more calm about the surgical procedure I'm to have. I left our meeting feeling I will be in good hands with Dr. Gottlob performing my shoulder surgery.

Total reverse shoulder, 72 yr old male
Initial visit was extremely informative and gave me confidence to go forward with my procedure. Procedure went very well as did recovery. I am now 2 months out and am about 75% full motion with returning strength gaining daily. Overall great experience. I’m sure I’ll be back for my next part!

Dr Gottlob is amazing.
I had total reverse shoulder replacement on both of my shoulders. He and the staff made me feel very comfortable and cared for. I never was left without an answer to my questions. Even better than that was the feeling that he was genuinely concerned about what I was experiencing during the whole process.

Explains Rotator Cuff Well
He is always 'on' and cares about working with you where you are at. I had a partial rotator cuff tear in my right shoulder and he sent me for physical therapy and then cleared me to go to the Galapagos two months later. He did my left rotator cuff in 2013. I am 72 so the jury is still out on whether I will eventually need rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder or a shoulder replacement. He tells me what he thinks but he does not steer me in a particular direction. The only caution I have is that he rarely is able to take me on time. I have found this true in general with orthopedic surgeons but they are usually worth waiting for.

Torn Rotator Cuff and Biceps tendon repair
I consulted with Dr Gottlob about my shoulder surgery because so many people recommended him, and after meeting him, I felt very comfortable and confident choosing him to do the surgery. From pre-surgery to post-op follow ups, he has been caring and taken time to explain things. Three months post-surgery I have almost full range of motion and no pain. I'm very happy with the results and highly recommend him.

Great job on shoulder replacement
I had a ( RTR ) total replacement. The Doc had me go thru the motions to check arm funtions. We discussed the procedure and what was expected motion wise. I look forward to getting the other side done in the near future.

The BEST!
Dr. Gottlob is the best. He repaired my right shoulder a decade ago (mountain biking crash) and my left shoulder (rotator cuff tear, another crash). Outcomes were excellent. He's succinct, honest, and straightforward about saying what to expect and how to handle recovery. An athlete himself, he understands what you want and what you need. Couldn't be better.

Professional and Personable
Dr Gottlob's facility, Panorama Orthopedics, and all staff I interacted with were helpful & efficient. Due to a prior patient's needs, my appointment was delayed, for which I received apologies from everyone. His assistant was attentive during the wait, and kept me informed. I was not concerned, as I would rather see a doctor who provides the care his patients need in unanticipated circumstances. Dr G and his staff were very attentive and thorough. I received a shoulder & upper arm Xray before our visit, and he immediately ordered an MRI to be scheduled ASAP (the following afternoon) as we had traveled from Santa Fe NM for his care. He was very kind, approachable, and thorough in my physical exam. (In NM I would no doubt have had multiple time wasting and care delaying visits & separate procedures...incomprehensible but true). My MRI report was delivered by the end of the day, and followup scheduled by his office within 2 days. Next steps will be determined soon! Thank you.

BEST SURGICAL EXPERIENCE EVER
Review of Shoulder Replacement Surgery on March 29th, 2023 On March 29th I had a total Left Shoulder Reverse Replacement. I was informed by my surgeon Dr. Charles A. Gottlob, a tremendous surgeon, that the procedure was the only one that would not require more surgeries in the very near future, if only repairs were made, instead of replacement. I was also informed the after surgery and therapy would be very painful as well. I will tell first you; my surgeon Dr. Charles A. Gottlob, his skilled Surgical Assistant (name unknow to me), the Anesthesiologist Dr. Nagel, his staff at Panorama Orthopedics Golden including P.A. Mary Bryan, and the entire Ortho Colorado Hospital staff were nothing short of SPECTACULAR. They ALL deserve more than 5 Stars on a review. This review will be a little long, but if you will read this you will understand WHY I rate them so high; and it may help you through any upcoming surgeries you may have in your future.
