Very easy to talk to and it was emergency services. Called me ASAP to tell me.

Dr. Dolce is a fine surgeon, and with him, I have no problem. However, if he actually has office staff at this time, they are invisible. After mailing a HIPAA form requesting release of medical records and 8 UNRETURNED phone calls, it was necessary to resort to involving the Arizona Medical Board in order to obtain medical records. That agency allows 3 weeks for response, and tomorrow will be 3 weeks, and STILL no medical records received. This kind of unresponsiveness is extremely detrimental to his practice and could be Dr. Dolce's downfall. That would truly be a shame. He needs to evaluate his staff's lack of performance and take appropriate measures. For a successful doctor's office, this is unacceptable! For that reason alone, I would not feel comfortable recommending Dr. Dolce, and I see from other comments that this is NOT a unique experience! COMMUNICATION between a doctor's office and a patient is CRITICAL!

Dr. Charles Dolce and St. Joseph's Hospital Westgate saved my life. I first went to Banner Hospital Emergency twice with severe abdominal pain. After two CT scans, I was told to take laxatives which I was not able to keep down. I decided to go to St. Joseph's Emergency Room and was given another CT scan that was read correctly. I had a large bowel obstruction which Dr. Dolce removed. After several surgeries, I am functioning normal with no pain. He saved my life.

I have worked with Dr. Dolce for several months due to intestinal issues requiring multiple surgeries. I received Dr. Dolce as a general surgeon upon an initial ER entry. I consider this one of the best things to have possibly happened, as Dr. Dolce has stayed vigilant, understanding, supportive and professionally involved through the required surgeries. Each situation was handled promptly and his surgical work was superior. I would return to Dr. Dolce for any future issues.

I recently had the gastric sleeve surgery and was so lucky to have worked with not only Dr Dolce, but his staff as well. Diana was very helpful in working with my insurance through all the hurdles and excuses they gave not to approve the surgery. I am very thankful to her for her dedication! I had a hernia operation that was not successful. I had to have a second surgery in order to repair the hernia, which was performed by a different surgeon.

I met with dr and he seemed pretty amazing!! I’m giving one start because his staff is complete incompetent!! I have been dealing with them since aug it’s now October and if you even get a real person to answer then your lucky!! I was informed my answering service the number changed and I still had issues getting them to answer phones during business hours!!! I also tried booking my surgery for weeks and sugical coordinator Diana has promised to call me back 6+ times!! AWEFUL AWEFUL AWFUL!!!

I had an emergency surgery and had Dr. Dolce as my surgeon. He was kind and caring. I have never felt rushed with him. He answered all my questions and even drew pictures to make sure I understood how everything worked and what he was doing. His office staff is friendly and helpful and I have always gotten into the room for my follow up care within 15 minutes of arriving at the office.

I had hernia and need operation to repair. I was referred to a different doc that I did not feel 100% with. I then did my own research and found Dr. Charles Dolce. He has all the right credentials, specialized training, honor student, board certified, Which for me is an absolute requirement for someone who will be operating on me. But what really won me over was his calm & kind manner. He allows any/all questions, explain things in layman terms, which help me understand what needed to be done.

I recently had a laparoscopic appendectomy his bed side manner as well as his professional and knowledge was excellent. I wish he could be my primary care doctor. I would highly recommend him.
