Dr. Charles Carmeci, MD

'Total time spent on medical discussion with patient: 45 minutes.' NOT TRUE!! It was 6 minutes and spoke over me the entire time. Did not go over the risks as it stated in the chart note either. Just said that there was a 1% chance of dying, but the chart note stated: We discussed the risks of surgery to include, but not limited to: stroke, permanent neurologic change, bleeding and infections requiring blood transfusions, repeat operations, organ failure and even death. She has a clear understanding of the situation and has requested to proceed with surgery. NONE of this was gone over either. He was definitely more important that I was. I did not schedule, needless to say. If you can, go elsewhere. I am a nurse and was still treated like I did not matter and his time was being wasted on me. 6 minute consult, 1.36 hours late for the call.

Emergency surgery and DR Carmeci and his team saved my life. I’m forever grateful and thankful especially for the Lord placing me in Dr Carmeci’s hands.

It was Dr. Carmeci's job to be the first to discuss open heart surgery with me. I was VERY nervous, but his calm, patient demeanor as I asked multiple questions made me feel confident.

Dr Carmeci is an excellant Surgeon. He did my three way bypass and I was able to go home from the hospital in less than 4 days. I have had only minimal discomfort in my leg where the vein was harvested, and my chest is healing very well. I know two of my close friends that have also had Dr Carmeci for their heart surgeon, they also had similar good experience like I did. I highly recommend this surgeon. Ken
