Dr. Charlene Hauser, MD

She didn't want to continue prescriptions I've been on for years and clearly had not read my medical intake form. She was oblivious to the fact that I have a lot on my plate as someone recently diagnosed with cancer, who just moved back to California, and who was living about an hour away from a sizeable town. She would not do one month bridge prescriptions for me to get established with the doctor's office she recommended (who was out of network anyway.) Running out of meds that you need to work, when you're an hour away from a pharmacy and you scheduled your appointments in advance because you were relocating to a new state, is not fun. The drug testing she required before I saw her felt punitive too. Nothing came back positive on it, though I can’t imagine what she would be like to deal with for people who have a positive drug test. She was not only unhelpful, but actively wasted my time and money, and added more stress and headache onto my plate when I have enough of that.

I have only had one visit at this point, but I was very happy with the attention and warmth displayed by Dr. Hauser and her nurse Heather. The office staff was friendly and helpful also. I have high standards for what I want in a doctor-patient relationship and so far I can only say good things about my experience with Dr. Hauser.

She is very calm, kind, asks probing questions and is thorough in her exams.

Dr Hauser listens to patients, speaks in language patients can understand when explaining problems and treatments, and provides a written summary of the visit when the appointment is concluded. Friendly, knowledgeable, sometimes takes extra time to ensure the patient gets answers to all their questions.
