Dr. Chandra Tokala, MD

Dr. Tokala is well skilled and highly professional. I have seen him for pain injections after having a compression fracture in my back. He and his staff are very courteous and kind. The injections done by Dr. Tokala alleviated my pain for several months. I would highly recommend him.

Took 1 year to get a TRIAL nerve stimulator installed for my back. Staff was very rude messed up paperwork with insurance several times. Had to do procedure without pain meds due to insurance, didn’t know this till last minute, very painful came close to passing out. Found out later procedure could’ve been done at Cypress hospital Was told two weeks to get the stimulator implanted. It has now been four months. I got a new doctor got an appointment within two weeks.

I saw Dr. Tokala February 5, 2022 at the recommendation of my PCP for severe back pain. I took my MRI disc for him to review. He had the typed report of the MRI but declined to look at the disc. Had he viewed the disc he would have known that my problem was strictly mechanical, and was not amenable to the steroid injection. There was absolutely no pain relief. I subsequently went to Dr. Frimpong, Neurosurgeon, who stated that I would need surgery to correct my scoliosis and reiterated that no relief would be obtained from steroid injections. I have just now received a statement from Medicare for charges to the tune of $4122.00 for a worthless procedure.

He is the worst Dr. I have ever been to in my whole life.the thangs he has done to me is just out right evil. He can't even put in a referral. He is all about the money and will harm you in the process. He has no common sense and I have no idea how he got as far as he has. I'm gonna say this from the heart...if your in extreme pain like me please find you a good Dr this one is not for you.

First time visit with the doc. Felt comfortable right from the get-go. He explained what he felt was the best treatment plan for me. Ended up getting some trigger point injections today. Its to early to see if it takes so my fingers are crossed in hopes it works. Extremely professional and very compassionate. I thank Dr hild for getting me in so quick and for Dr. Tokala for fitting me in.

Dr. Tokala is kind, understanding and open to questions. His training is excellent and he thoroughly and clearly communicates with patients.

Dr. Tokala I would give 5 Stars. His office staff? 1 I have had to do circles around them multiple times to get records and follow-ups. They keep promising to fax records to Mayo. As of today, 06/27/2017, they have yet to do it since the multiple requests from May 3, 2017

Everything was really good with Dr. Tokala and the office. The appointments are on time, the call backs are on time, everything is simple with the office. The treatments helped a lot, I can jog now whereas before I could not run. I'm not 100% there but it is a start, I look forward to more treatments and more improvement thanks to Dr. Tokala.

Arrogant, patient profiling, recommends RFA (radio frequency ablation for facet joint pain) procedures to treat disc pain in which he has done the diagnostics to find the target disc causing pain, does not respond well to being questioned or challenged, cannot answer questions directly. Fails to see that some are just as intelligent as he is.
