Dr. Chadwell Vail, DO

Dr Vail is an excellent doctor and worked to find out the root of health problems. This led to finding an aneurysm before it caused a stroke. He was also an excellent, caring doctor for my mother

From the minute he walked into the exam room I was treated like trash. He seemed to enjoy belittling me more than doing his job. When he found out I hadn't gotten my COVID shot he had a horrible attitude, he wanted to listen to my heart and lungs, when he did this he very dryly said "yep, sounds like you have COPD and now that you're on oxygen there's nothing anyone can do for you then walked out the door. I have never had such a bad experience going to a doctor! He either truly dislikes senior citizens or has such an over inflated ego that he is disrespectful to everyone. It was a really bad experience for me and I wouldn't recommend him to anybody.

Rudest most entitled Doctor I have ever experienced in my life. I honestly don’t know why anyone would see this man. After my first appointment I contacted a new doctor immediately. I highly recommend you find another Doctor.

I’ve been Dr Vail's patient for 6-7 years. I have had EXCELLENT care. I credit him for saving my life and limbs.

On the first visit staff got meds incorrect and patient was told YOU ARE A MESS

HORRIBLE Experience! I was horrid when I read his after visit summary notes. He never listened to my lungs, heart,etc… many things he listed he had done that he did not. I am on 23 medications and all he could do was focus on the fact I take two narcotics. He basically called me a drug addict. My concerns fell on deaf ears. He was more focused on his own personal opinions rather than medical condition. He lied about the services he provided and I will follow proper protocol to make sure it never happens again! If you love your family member this is not the type of doctor you would want to see. He is an example why Phelps Health had the poor reputation they did for good patient care. Phelps Health is constantly making strives to improve and this doctor is a dark reminder of the past.

all of phelps health seems to be of this opinion-only thing that seems to matter is their rights and no one elses-i wouldn't send a dog to them!

We find Dr. Vail very thorough. As new residents to Rolla, we are glad to have his quality care available.

They're office is poorly run, I've been trying to get in for my CPAP supplies and had to wait a month to get in, was 15 minutes late (overslept from not having CPAP) and couldn't be seen because he's double booked from being on vacation for 2 weeks.

I have had and am having an exceptional experience with Dr. Vail. He is my primary care provider and while I am eager to research and learn everything I can about my condition, I am quick to temper my findings with the council and advice of Dr. Vail given his professionalism and experience. I appreciate his demeanor, forthrightness, and comprehensive approach to my care.

My Aunt was referred to this Doctor because of abnormal blood work. From the start of the visit he was rude, condensing, and not helpful. He seemed offended almost that she has a family doctor and was at this visit. Even saying “well why are you seeing me” more than once. All he wanted to do was focus on the fact that she takes narcotics for her severe chronic pain. Something she’s taken for over 30 years He offered no solutions and very rudely said he would send a note to her family doctor about what he thought should be done. Meaning that she should be taken off her pain meds My aunt did not go there for any reason other than she was referred there because of low iron and kidney problems. This doctor was one of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. Almost got up and left in the middle of the visit his whole demeanor was incredibly rude
