After month's of waiting for Dr. Kilpatrick to accept new patients, I was so excited when I finally got a call as a result of a cancellation. When I arrived I was informed that I would not be seeing the doctor but a nurse practitioner. I explained that I did not want to do that and I would continue to wait. I was then put on the phone with a remote woman who had originally scheduled me. I explained I would just wait and that is when she informed me I will be considered a NoShow if I did this. I asked her if I could pay even though I was not being seen, just to not have a mark against me and this is where things went sideways. This woman was RUDE and ARGUMENTATIVE and continued to threaten me with this NoShow deal. I told her I wanted to have nothing to do with her or the office. I put the receptionist phone down and was walking out when one of the front office women yelled, 'Yeah, Get Out! I walked in to this office feeling okay and walked out sick to my stomach.

I have seen many endocrinologist with having type one diabetes for many years. I have been seeing Dr.Kirkpatrick for about 8 years now and she is by far the best endocrinologist I have ever had. She has helped me through a pregnancy and always has a listening ear. She always takes the time to explain things to me. She is very intelligent and knows her stuff. She keeps up with the newest devices and medications that come out. She has a great bed side manner. I would recommend her to anyone!

I had been referred to Dr Kilpatrick from my primary care Dr. I was interested in getting the latest version of the insulin pump I was using. She saw that I had had type 1 diabetes for around 15 years and said "I think you would be a good candidate for this pump." So I got the new pump and over time started having issues with it. When I would bring these issues up with Dr Kilpatrick she said, "If you are having issues with your pump, I'm not your gal." She would also appear to not know how my pump functions some of the time. She should learn more about the pumps she is prescribing to patients in order to better help them. She would also try to pawn me off on the pump representatives (who are not doctors so their counsel is almost meaningless) who would then make suggestions to bring back up with my Dr. Today she cut me off multiple times going through my experiences with my new pump. She seems more and more distant and less interested everytime I see her. Not sure why.

Having a hard time hearing what my body is saying. Keep landing in the ER because of dropping my medication and BP drops every time but does it the next visit and land in ER again. Just don’t feel like I’m heard and truly understood or cared about. Calling in about the problem did no good, nurse would say to keep same dose even though I was struggling and I landed in ER. Addison’s isn’t to be messed with. ER doc said I was so close to Crisis but it didn’t seem to matter to endocrinologist...?

Dr.Kilpatrick is managing my care after the removal of my thyroid. Her knowledge and care have been exemplary. Dr. Kilpatrick is very thorough and takes an overall approach to my care. She has been aggressive in managing the tests and monitoring that take place after thyroid cancer but has an easy way of explaining each step along the way. These tests are part of my new normal and I am most thankful that Dr. Kilpatrick is managing my care.

Very knowledgeable. Tells you what you need hear, not what you may want to hear. Treatments have help improve my condition. Works very well with me to make sure I get the treatment and medicine I need, insurance companies are difficult to deal with certain medications. Always brings up current relevant research on my condition. I would never hesitate to recommend Dr. Kilpatrick. .

I can't believe the other reviewers and I are rating the same doctor. Maybe if you have a condition that fully responds to the regular guidelines, she's good, but I was not 100% better. Seeking relief, I found some additional treatment options in the peer-reviewed medical literature and asked her about them, but she was very unpleasantly dismissive without explaining why. I found another endocrinologist--someone older and more experienced--who tweaked my treatment a bit and really helped me.
