She was not very helpful when giving me advice on gaining weight during pregnancy. She said "you should not eat fruit because it's high in sugar". She was also not very kind and acted as if I was bothering her for asking her questions related to my pregnancy. She is the first OB i've experienced be so mean at UCD.

Horrifying bedside manner
Her bedside manner was completely horrifying. It seems like she never knows how to perform ultrasound properly. I have never had this painful ultrasound ever in my life.

She was cold, dismissive and impatient. She failed to explain what the exam would involve and did not adjust her approach despite my clear distress and anxiety. Her attitude and demeanor made an already difficult appointment a harrowing experience I cannot forget.

Believe these many 1 star reviews! You shouldn't wait months and pay a Dr just to get yelled at for no reason! She almost made cry the way she talked to me in the first two minutes she walked in to the room! I found her manner extremely rude, arrogant, and argumentative! Total waste of time & money! I hope one day she reads her reviews and she change the way she treats the patients. Dr Cansino, people deserve more!

Avoid
I saw her a few years ago and she left quite an impression. I switched to Sutter for OBGYN care because of this doctor. Rude, impatient, uncaring. Clearly, the reviews on UC Davis’ website are curated.

Dr. Cansino is located in Sacramento at UC Davis Medical Center. Please do yourself a favor - do not see her. She was rude, dismissive and cold during my exam. She failed to communicate clearly about the exam and when I followed up she was unprofessional in her response. She should not work in a field that requires interaction with people. I wish I could give her zero stars for some of the below.

She was unfamiliar with my chart in its entirety, and I am a regular patient with many complications she was unaware of, and was rough during my pelvic exam. Her bedside manner was poor and I would not recommend her care to anyone. She refused to give me antibiotics and I received them at a local ER after she refused. Her lack of care put my health in danger per my ER Doctors.

She's located in Sacramento at the UC Davis Med Center. I think she's an excellent Gyn. She listened, gave her insight on my concerns, offered some resolutions, and proceeded with what I wanted to do. She made sure she was very clear with her recommendations and she was very thorough. I did not feel dismissed or ignored. She was very pleasant, and I felt comfortable in her care.
