Dr. Catherine Almazan, MD

She is very sweet. I have had several bad experiences from not only her, but the staff at this location can’t seem to get their stuff together. They do not return phone calls to the patient or to the pharmacy. She prescribed me sleeping medicine, the prescription was accidentally prescribed for every OTHER night. It took six phone calls, not including the three from my pharmacy, with me refusing to get off the phone, before they corrected THEIR mistake. After seeing the Dr for prescription refills, two attempts from my pharmacy and two more calls from myself, no action, they “send” a request to an assistant who will not speak to anyone and doesn’t not respond to prescription requests. Dr A herself hears what you have to say then does not have a plan of action, her response to me when I asked her what she thought? Was, “I don’t know you tell me”. I have also came to her with a problem or too and she was very dismissive, almost a “that’s the way it is and get over it” bedside manner.

On my first visit with Dr. Almazan, she had already reviewed my records and was on top of my medical problems. She is an excellent listener, with a terrific bedside manner and didn't rush me during the visit. Subsequently, I had a problem in my blood work and she prescribed something to correct the problem. We've communicated through the Patient Portal numerous times, and she responds within a day. She is a top-notch physician that I am lucky to have overseeing my health care.

She is kind lets the patient talk. She even does this with a very Demented Patient ! ( My MOM)I can never repay her for the help & concern when my MOM was very ILL. She supports the Patient & the Family . She is direct to the Point ! She is open to questions ! I am a smarter Patient BECAUSE of DR ALMAZAN ! I am Very ThankFul to have her as my DR.
