Dr. Schakett listened to my concerns and needs and took time to explain options. I felt like she was really listening to me.

This was the first time that I saw Dr. Schakett. She was such a calm presence. She explained everything very well, walked me through her entire thought process, listened to all of my questions and thoughts and responded genuinely back and forth. I left the appt very comforted and confident in her taking over my care.

She ordered my mammogram so fast that I was able to schedule an appointment that same day which meant I didn't have to make a 2nd trip. That is HUGE when you travel 1 hour to your appointment.

Dr Schakett is always attentive and extremely compassionate. She explains all elements of my care very clearly. I have recommended her to family members and friends.

Based on reviews…She is probably very suitable for delivering babies. As far as screening for breast cancer; she’s a bit too quick for a patient that has a previous history of breast biopsy due to fibrocystic disease. She is also not providing care regarding bio-identical hormones which have been a God send for me. The WHI study has scared many into not prescribing hormones. If you’re under 65 with no serious history of breast cancer in the family, hormones should be prescribed or at least considered. I also found her to be a bit rude and curt providing one word answers to serious concerns. Her preference is to treat women of child bearing age apparently…& that’s ok. Just not a match for me.

Dr. Schakett delivered my fifth baby and she has been my favorite OB/GYN! She answered all of my questions and had so much new information. I absolutely love her and recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor!

I just had my first baby with her in 2022. I ended up having gestational diabetes and she was amazing with all the support and information. She helped me manage it and feel more comfortable than the specialist. By far my favorite OB/Dr. 10/10 recommend her. She was also super supportive before I got pregnant as it took my husband and I a year to convince.
