Dr. Cassandra Dishman-Kessler, DO

Dr. Dishman is a wonderful doctor. I was so relieved when I met her. She listens to you and she is kind and helpful. Out of every doctor I’ve had, she is my favorite. My daughter and I both go to her and we both really like her.

I waited seven months for an appointment with this provider only to have her cancel literally right before I was scheduled. I wasted my time, gas, and adjusted my work schedule. Moreover, the staff could not give me another appointment without me waiting for months again because she had not given them permission to schedule people on a day she does not come into the office. I get that things happen, but given the other review that mentions this same issue, it is not an isolated incident and suggests a lack of respect for patients.

I had my first appointment here last week and I was surprised and relieved by how smoothly everything went for a first visit after moving from out of state, how helpful and genuinely kind all of the staff were, and what an excellent level of care and attention I received from Dr. Dishman-Kessler. She talked with me for a long time, asking questions to get to know me as a person and not just as a patient. She is practical and caring at the same time. I am so grateful to have gotten in with her as a new patient.

I have only met Dr. Dishman-Kessler once for the initial meeting to establish as her patient. She cancelled the appointment at the very last min., and rescheduled me weeks later. I thought that was just an one time incident. My next appointment was the annual physical, she canceled again, and re-scheduled me 6 months later. My daughter ran into the same problem. She is a college student, and is home only during summer break. She made an appointment with Dr. Dishman way ahead of time to get a spot in the summer. And at the last minute, the Dr. cancelled the appointment, and rescheduled her months later when she will be away in school. I don't know Dr. Dishman well. She maybe a Dr. with exceptional skills, but really fails in the reliability department. I decided to look for another PCP on the day she cancelled my physical exam.

Dr. Dishman was personable, professional, and proactive throughout my first visit! She took care of my needs and assessed the context related to them. I look forward to having her as a primary care provider - she didn’t rush through my appointment and ensured all my questions were answered.
