Dr. Carolyn Fronczak, MD

Dr. Fronczak is a highly committed professional, she keeps up with advances in her field and provides services ethically and with care. She always provides information on all possible interventions and follows through with her patients. I am very grateful my physician referred me to her. Her office staff is very kind and supportive I appreciate the positive energy at her office!

Dr. Fronczak is remarkably impressive. Extremely kind, listens to your concerns, relates to you respectfully, professionally and in a positive friendly manner. Her staff is also amazing. You will feel comfortable and are in great hands at Modern Urology.

Dr. Fronczak listened carefully and explained things clearly & patiently. She explained the anatomy, my issues, what to expect in the future with and without treatment. She spent enough time with me at each appointment that I never felt rushed or ignored. Her team was friendly and professional. I am grateful to Dr. Fronczak for her care, experience & guidance.

It is entirely possible that I caught this person on a bad day. I went in with a UTI that I had been to urgent care for several times. She did an examination of my genitals and suggested that I may have an STI and sent me on my way without ordering additional testing. I was floored. I knew that likely wasn't an accurate diagnosis, but still was stressed out about it. I spent $200 to do a full STI panel and they all came back negative. I followed up with a gynecologist and was told they had no idea what she was talking about. I sent a message to her and told her I thought this was mishandled. She sent me a defensive and condescending message back. I cannot in good conscience recommend this doctor.

Dr Fronzack is a compassionate , caring, and competent person and that makes her an outstanding Doctor. Dr. Fronzack is an engaging person who will patently listen as you describe your symptoms before responding with pointed questions to analyze your condition and then choosing a sensible course of action. Her facility is new and beautifully appointed with technology’s latest medical equipment. Hence the name for her practice is “Modern Urology”. The staff are friendly and competent. I have been her patient for many years and gladly drive to her new practice in rural Frederick CO. The drive from Boulder to Frederick is pleasant and it is stress free to arrive to an ample parking lot just a few steps from her office front door. With good reason Dr. Fronzack is one of my favorite doctors .

I visited Modern Urology today for the first time, and immediately felt comfortable with every single kind and professional person in this office, culminating with Dr. Fronczak. When I mentioned I had tried acupuncture with some success for my condition, she was all for it! Dr. Fronczak impressed me as being open minded and very knowledgeable about treatment options, starting with the most conservative approach. Just talking to her made me feel better than I have for a year and a half, and I am confident that I will be in the best of hands as I move foward.

Dr Fronczak is an amazing physician. She is kind and caring and very professional. She always spends the time I need to explain my treatment and answers all of my questions. I have been with her for about 8 years now and will continue to see her at her new location even though the drive is a little longer. Highly recommended.

I have seen Dr. Fronczak for several years and have been impressed by her compassion, responsiveness, clarity, expertise as a surgeon and out-patient urologist. Because I have a history of complicated kidney-stone issues, I have come to rely on her extraordinary care and feel 100% safe with her. She goes the extra step--a rarity in today's medical system.

Dr. Fronczak explained everything about my condition and the options to correct it. She used visual aids that really helped me see and fully understand what she was describing. After performing the procedure we agreed on, she clearly explained what she found and how she corrected it. Her followup visit was also caring and complete. I always felt that I was getting the most competent care possible.

Dr. Fronczak did a good job of removing my kidney stone but I was not well informed of many aspects and repeatedly surprised and frightened. No handout with diagrams of the 11 inch stent with coils on both ends and a string hanging out of my urethra was a surprise. Pulling the string and stent myself was frightening since this and the expected pain was never explained. The effects of the drugs were never explained. I went from bloody pee to bright orange urine due to the drugs and that freaked me out and was never explained. The pain med that I desperately need once I walked out of the hospital was not provided and I had to wait in agony at a pharmacy. When I discussed all of this with her she was more interested in either excusing herself or looking at her watch. She did apologize and promised to do better. But she also made me feel like I was just not remembering or was an exception. I hope she does do better but I am moving on.

I have had UTIs since I was 5 years old. I am now 75. My urethra has been stretched; I've been hospitalized; I've endured 3 horrible, useless Mona Lisa procedures. Then, Carolyn Fronczak was recommended to me. She is absolutely amazing. With her formulary no UTIs for 4 months! I can hardly believe it. I just wish other urologists were as wonderful as she is.

I was a new patient to Carolyn Fronczak I came in to discuss a MRI of my prostate that showed a suspicious lesion. I was very calm I asked her questions about my options and the MRI and she raised her voice at me and told me to shut up, I said excuse me!. I waited for a few moments she said nothing. Then I said I’m sorry go ahead continue she raised her voice at me again and said see you interrupted me. this woman seems to be a lunatic or something, she was unwilling to answer any of my questions about the MRI or the details of the biopsy she wanted to perform or give me any options whatsoever and the more I began to try and understand it and ask questions the more she Got flustered and raised her voice at me and told me to shut my mouth. then she got up and said we’re not a good Match and left the room. how this person can be a doctor treating people in any way shape or form Is absolutely unimaginable. No Educated adult behave in this manner.

Dr. Fronczak is an excellent urologist in Boulder, CO. She works diligently with you to solve your urology problem(s). She is a good listener, receptive, caring, and her staff is also very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her for any urology issues you might have. It is also really great to have a female urologist!

I have had a problem with incontinence since I was a child; I am now 82. Dr Fronzcak has made a big difference for me with her treatments needling a nerve. She is also open minded - willing to work with me in ways other doctors are not. She said "No two bodies are alike." I think she's terrific.

After 20 years on multiple medications, I went and consulted with Dr. Fronzcak. She recommended a new procedure for my "enlarged prostate". Sixteen months ago I had it done, results were immediate and dramatic. Here I am today with no enlarged prostate issues and no medications. Dr. Fronzcak is caring and honest. I am so glad I found her. More Urologists should pay attention to what new techniques are available and be willing to look beyond the traditional appointments and medications.

I briefly was a patient of Carolyn Fronczak in early 2020. Our relationship seemed great, she appeared thoughtful, friendly and concerned. The medical issue I have may warrant surgery and here is where the problem occurred. I went for a second opinion about what Fronczak was recommending. And when I saw her again and told her about my second opinion, Fronczak became angry, her demeanor changed significantly (it was like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde). Dr Fronczak did not like that I got a second opinion (which differed from her opinion). She became rude and dismissive. After this rather uncomfortable experience, I tried to find resolution with her. Fronczak had no interest in self-reflection and looking at what role she played in our issue. She simply dismissed me and my issues with a statement we were not a good match. It was quite a disturbing experience particularly coming from a well educated adult. I would use caution went meeting with her. And there are many thoughtful MDs out there.

Dr. Fronczak is is very straightforward, direct, no b.s., she'll answer all your questions, she's detail-oriented, she cares, she'll even share concerns that other doctors may not, and she definitely knows what she's doing. She did TURP prostate surgery for me, and I felt totally confident about her work. I felt fortunate that she was my surgeon.

I started seeing Dr. Fronczak several years ago for BPH. BPH symptoms include incomplete emptying, problems starting to urinate, weak flow, straining, frequency, sudden urges, and interrupted sleep. She monitored my symptoms and tracked them numerically until my score was becoming unacceptably high. My quality of life was deteriorating and the high symptom score provided evidence. She recommended a TURP surgical operation which she performed in June 2020. The long and short of this is the operation was a complete success and I have no side effects and I no longer need to take medication for BPH. I recently went back for my 3 month checkup and took the symptom score again which showed a huge improvement indicating my quality of life has improved dramatically. Basically, my BPH symptoms are gone. Dr. Fronczak is very skilled technically but she is also very personable and caring. I highly recommend her.
