Dr. Carolyn Belfry, MD

I have a mystery illness. I live an hour away from this doctor. My best friend referred me after I told her how I was being blown off by other doctors. My experience with Belfry was immediately better. She actually ran tests, and she cared. She’s not a sweet talking hugger of a doctor and I don’t care about that. I’m looking for someone who does their job well. I’m so grateful to her and she will be my primary from now on.

Every visit with Dr. Belfry feels unproductive and like I’m being shoved out the door asap without her actually listening to what’s wrong. I cry after every appointment. Terrible bedside manner, she only allows 15 minutes, which isn’t even enough time to explain what’s going on. Googling my symptoms feels more worth my time and it’s free. If you want genuine care, and actually want to figure out what’s wrong, see literally anyone else.

Dr. Belfry is an excellent physician. She always makes you feel comfortable and not rushed. She’s efficient and very thorough. I love that I can get into see her in a timely manner. She has done so much for me. I recommend her highly.

I waited a half hour to see her and she came in told me I had 15 minutes then started rambling off questions like I had never been to Ogden clinic before and they knew nothing about me. She then ran through the process and then when I told her I needed to start my anxiety medication again after having my child she prescribed me a five year old prescription for depression. and not the anxiety medication I was on prior to becoming pregnant. She then had the clinic run me through a variety of breathing, drinking, urine, and blood tests with no explanation. Still not sure what was even done.

I had visited Belfry for a knee injury and from the moment she walked into the room she was rushed, annoyed, and borderline rude. She had taken an x-ray and said it looked fine. But never actually pulled it up on the screen to show me. She mentioned it was likely a tear, but never even mentioned an MRI (which was strange). After 8 weeks of still having issues struggling to walk with/without a brace. I asked if she would order an MRI. She refused, unless I made her my primary care physician. And in that case, she wanted to meet me "properly" first, as in not as a walk in visit. Doctors have an oath to treat people. You EARN someone's business not demand it. So now I'm back at square one, for a doctor that cares.... even a little bit. So that I can get back at running around and playing with my 2 toddlers. I typically do not write reviews, but was not impressed.

Dr Belfry is a great Doctor that gets to the problem you’ve come in for. She’s willing to spend time with you and work with you. She’s very thorough and competent.

Dr. Belfry was wonderful. I was a new patient, and she helped me feel at ease as she did my physical exam. I would highly recommend her!

I was able to get an appointment when sick, received a virus test and was treated eith respect.

Carolyn always has time for me and doesn't let me get away with "I'm okay Doc". She will call me at home to make sure I follow up and gives that attention to detail thats missing these days in the medical practice. She is spot on with her assessments and she has a great personality to boot. You can't find a better Doctor.

I have trusted her for years now. She listens to my woes and gives good advice! she is one of the best doctor's that I have been to!

Dr. Belfry was especially pleasant and easy to talk to at this most recent visit. She did not seem hurried and listened well and gave good insight and information. Give her a try - you will most likely find her a "keeper". :)

Dr Belfry has been my primary care doc for many years. She is so attentive, knowledgeable and caring. It’s a great feeling to know she is always available when I need her.
